Infinite Stratos 07:

Just to make sure: Everyone agrees that Ichika has to be gay, right? "I´ll go dress outside, okay?" - "Uh-uhm, you don´t have to. I´m not bothered by it" - "But I´m bothered by it".

W-T-F, Ichika?! Pretty girl wants you to change clothings in the same room with her, you don´t want to. Ugh.
It's called being a gentleman, man. Ichika's got class.

mAcOdIn said:
But Charlotte sucks! Char was cool but that Charlotte girl was also a total loser.
Dude you got it backwards. Charlotte was the coolest, Char was when she just became another dumb Ichika haremite.

mAcOdIn said:
Seriously, as far and Pika-tan and her posse goes they seem like alright chicks, they wanna hang out with a guy but aren't going to sell their souls to hang out with some loser, even if he does have a dick, which is way more than the named girls can say.
That's actually pretty true :lol

Kanon 2006 Running Uguu Tally

Episode 1: 15 +/- 2 (some borderline ugs that lacked an -uu tail)
Episode 2: 7
Episode 3: 5
Episode 4: 5

So far 06 is way the fuck ahead of 02 in both total and average per episode uguus; I dread to see what the final tally will end up at (02 was around 36 over 12 or 13 episodes.)

I feel I have greater knowledge of statistical uguu breakdown than any sane creature should.
Are you planning also on listening the Tsukimiya Ayu Uguu Voice CD, with 86 different uguu variations? :3
I don't understand, are you watching Kanon for the first time?

cajunator said:
I own Kanon. I should try this. If I can stand it.
Only watched about 2 episodes of it but was already getting sick of the uguu's.
It's not that they aren't cute, I just think like suiseiseki's desu overload it is just too much.
I don't remember it to be so invasive, it may be me though, I was concentrating on the plot (haven't seen the 2002 version, didn't play the game).

Infinite Stratos 09 ~ Beach Episode:

Well, I must be masochist, that much is clear by now. Anyway, so in this episode, two girls got an orgasm from being near Ichika, then it was hinted at some incest-subplot between Ichika and his sister, oh, and let´s not forget the beginning of the episode that starts with Laura lying naked next to Ichika, then intensifying the scene by pulling his arm inbetween her naked body. Okay.

God, I hate beach episodes in anime :/

Nah, you are going to drop the Anime sooner or later. Not many can withhold that amount of masochism for this piece of turd.

and yeah Beach episodes always suck. Infact Beach something always sucks in any medium. Persona 3s beach hours were the worst. Has any Anime done beach episode right?

By now? That much is clear when you even consider watching something like Infinite Stratos.

He's already almost done with it. I don't know how most people could make it through episodes 11 and 12 without skipping around though.

Minami-ke? Unless you hate boobs, ehehe...
I swear, I don't know how they do it but they have done it, Anime is the only thing that makes boobs less attractive than it usually is.

I heard great things about Minami-ke, but I haven't gotten around watching it. I heard it was was made by some of the staff that made Toradora! which I adore. Is that true? is localised? I might as well buy the DVDs if its any good...

Sacred Seven 2

Boring, but I see why someone said it turns into Eureka7 in episode 2.
I was thinking that I like the color choices for the OP.

Well, now, obviously the real thing always wins.

The first season is the best. It'sfun, the art is good and everything else is also good.
It's mainly a slice-of life kind of show, with some continuity.
The second seasons is the worse one because they changed studio, chara design, format, etc. The third season is better.
From what I know they have nothing to do with ToraDora staff.

Sacred Seven 3

Better than the previous 2 episodes, since there is more action, but the show still feels kinda boring to me.

I am beginning to see that I am alone in the opinion of this sequence.

*sigh*, well, I never I agreed with you lot anyway.
Nothing wrong with being an outsider.

BakaTest 2 - 1

The start of the first episode of the second season has even more style visually than the first season. Only 3 minutes in and I already love it.

It only gets better and better as it goes on. Starting with a beach episode was a brilliant idea, and the jokes are pretty good as well.

BakaTest 2 won't be the best show of summer, since Usagi Drop is it, but it's off to be a good alternative as far as I'm concerned.

Kamisama Dolls - 2 & 3

Meeeeh

Infinite Stratos - 5 & 6

Ichika no Ecchi

Oh Kana Hanazawa, you have that rare talent of being that blooming flower in a field full of turd.
bow.gif

I'll skip right to the Beach episode and be done with this.

Library Shoka thingy - 01

Has an interesting premise, but I felt the first episode was too boring, the guy read the grimoire for too long for example.

Uta no Prince Sama - 01

What. The. Fuck.

Main girl reminds of the girl from Mezzo Forte DSA, felt kind of creepy, and I can't stop staring at her eyes!!

Steins gate - 16

:(

I think its the weakest point to the character model for the anime. The eyes could have been toned down.

Right as fun non-filler episode.

On another note, I am almost at the end of [C] and I really really don't like it. Ill write my final verdict when I finish it.

I can think of a few that have come close.
Although the only one that comes to mind that I really enjoyed is Angelic Layer (Episode 21).

Ai yori Aoshi had some beach scenes that weren't completely awful. But that may be because Aoi was in a bathing suit and that made everything alright.

Oh cool. Somebody else has seen Mezzo DSA. The only thing I didn't like about it was the OP.

I'm running late on finishing up Anime from last season so I'm pretty much completely in the dark about the new stuff. What's worth watching so far?

I carried over Hanasaku Iroha because I think it's pretty good but other than that I have nothing on my plate. Any recommendations from the new season's crop? I generally like stuff with a good (or at least decent) story but other than that I like a little bit of everything.

What are you guys and gals liking so far?

I don't want to forget that show. I will likely watch it again sometime.
Probably buy the DVDs if it is licensed too.
I really loved the song Secret Base.

Roberta's Blood Trail: Finale

Roberta is broken, and I don't like it
Earlier* I have gone on record as saying that I don't much care for Roberta or her invulnerable, bullet dodging, knife-biting bullshit that she brings into the over-the-top but still grounded in reality Black Lagoon universe. As such, I had mixed feelings about the announcement of this OVA. More Black Lagoon is obviously a good thing, but why did it have to be Roberta centric?

No surprises here
In one way, the earlier episodes confirmed my suspicions: Roberta was back and even more broken then ever, heck she brought back a rather younger version of herself with even more gravity-defying nonsense. Yet, misgivings aside, I enjoyed the actual plot, character progression and all the events that did not coincide with crazy Roberta nonsense. In other words, I enjoyed it for the same reasons that I have always enjoyed Black Lagoon.

Grand Finale
Still, while I was enjoying the OVA's I can't say that I was waiting to exhale in relation to their releases. I wasn't excited to see the next episode appear, I felt that it was kind of average for the show as whole. As such, it's a rather pleasant surprise to find that this episode far exceeded my expectations and provided a genuinely excellent finale to the arc. Spoilers for this episode, and the OVA in general, below:

Spoilers, Obviously
Firstly, my biggest gripe with Roberta has always been her broken, terminator-level abilities. While she was incredibly dangerous in this outing, with some pretty inventive weaponry to boot, she was far from invulnerable. She actually took a significant amount of damage. Hurray!

The manner in which Garcia's, Roberta's and Fabiola's conflict was resolved was pretty great and featured bad-ass moves on the part of pretty much everyone involved. Neat.

The most part of the story was Rock's progression in to full on tactician/mastermind as he moved to play off all the pieces against each other to achieve his ultimate objective. There was a moment where it appeared that Rock had become rather corrupted, but of course he was working to save lives and attack the city of sin itself.

Amazingly, all the tropes with regard to the tactician were seemingly thwarted. His plan wasn't perfect, he didn't achieve his objective (as far as he's aware) and most important he got the shit kicked out of him, which frankly needs to happen to every character that sits on the sideline and attempts to orchestrate a grand plan.

So all in all a pretty incredible finish to this arc. For any Black Lagoon fan considering whether or not to investigate this OVA I give it my strongest recommendation.

Sorta, I did mess up but it was Charles that was cool, Charlotte and Char are the ones who sucked, but yeah I was wrong.

Guys, stop trying to pretend Mayo Chiki is good. It wasn't clever two weeks ago and it isn't clever now!
Wrong - Mayo Chiki is truly, honest to god awesome. I'd go even further and will say that it's actually not even really stupid. It's just silly because and when it wants to be silly. And that in itself makes it several times more awesome than other, similar shows.

Wait, what? There's a third season? I loved the first season but season two was an abomination.
