I'm more inclined to think that we are meant to believe that it was Ringo, but it might not be. Seems a bit odd that they wouldn't show the face of the person. Either that or she is way more insane than I originally thought.

Spinning its wheels this week, although
Hyodo is crazy evil as always
. Hopefully next week we'll see a little of what Kaiji has cooking; I hope there's enough material that they don't have to drag this out too long just to fill time.

It's not that they is no material and they are stretching it out. The manga is just horribly paced.

To be fair, that's left to the imagination of the viewer/audience. So how good did you think
the cameraman
was? Or rather, male gazing.

He was a pro at the male gaze! Dat 2d ass, dem 2d legs, etc.

I don't think so, unless she went home and changed her pants in between the park and the event.

Penguindrum 4

Everything about this show owns. Everything.

Also the most amazing penguin antics yet.
I totally lost it at the part where Ringo was drowning.

And yet...
no SEIZON SENRYAKU. I feel cheated :(

I'm aware of that; I figure the pacing of Kaiji up to now has been a small miracle. By "material" I mean I hope there's actually enough real story in the rest of the Bog arc that they don't start filling episode after episode with whatever BS Fukumoto fills 90% of his pages with.

Penguin Drum - 04

The penguins were awesome, #1 doing instant upskirt shots, #2 looking like he was about to
save Ringo from drowning, but a fish got in the way and then buggered off lmfao.
And Ringo was sure giving Saotome Roman a run for her money in the daydream sequence bishmode department.

Thinking about it I'm pretty sure it isn't
ringo, she was just reading from her diary, personally i think it adds more of a mysterious aura to the scene in question, if it is someone else we don't know yet

We can but hope.

It was just
following the structure of the previous episode anyway.

I was thinking that myself, but there was a pretty large time gap between the kiss entry and the red shoes entry in her diary so it's possible that she changed clothes. Regardless I don't think it was her. I do think she may have been there to witness it though, since she would have to confirm it happened in some way.

Kaiji 17
Not much happened this episode, but it was saved by
the president showing up. That guy is an amazing villain, I might make a gif out of that scene where he's drinking the wine. Hilarious.

Strangely, the diary only lists keywords, too. There's nothing about pushing the girl with the red shoes.

(... but there's something about an "elevator", even if Ringo says "escalator"... huhuhu... I seem to remember Azumanga Daiô did a strip about that...)

Well, he's spent 15 years slowly drawing pretty pictures and not moving the story as well, so I guess that adds to his crimes. Spending that long very little is impressive.

Wowzers. There's never a dull moment with this show, is there? This is easily my favorite show of the year so far; I hope it can keep up this quality.

Ga Rei Zero 2

Well these guys seem a lot more competent than the idiots from episode 1. Got an old guy with some drill arms and a crazy dude rocking some suitcases as weapons.

And sword girl could've totally beat the A class bitch if she actually used her brain and didn't let her go.

Don't you dare talk badly about my Yomi!

Mawaru Penguin Drum 4

This show just keeps getting better and better, having so much fun with it. I'm glad MPD brought me back into animu.

Penguin 04

I believe the apples are hinting at something!

My god, the Penguin antics hurt. 1 looking up girl's skirts. Followed by 2 swimming down slowly at the girl, pan twice, only two reveal its going for another fish.

This season is such bullshit, 4 of the 5 shows I'm following all air on the same day! And it's also goddamned lame when I have to work the late shift on Thursday and then turn around and work an early shift on Friday! So I get home from work and it's almost time to go to bed so I can get up the next day!

I hate you Japan!

Why would you care? You watch animu on Wikipedia anyway.

THE IDORUM@STER 4:

IRON CHEF MOE

Hibiki and Takane are hilarious together. Hamuzou is clearly the brains of the operation, Hibiki provides only the elbow grease. Hamuzou's QQQQQQQQ is even better than Pinguin QQQQQQQQ. Princess Haruka provides most of the comic relief this episode. That cameraman is a bastard, every chance he gets, he tries to shoot an upskirt! And then there's the main character of this episode...Chihaya. It helps if you have some background information about Chihaya before you watch this episode, as basically all of her origin story is omitted from the episode. Though I haven't tried yet in IDOLM@STER SP, I hear that Chihaya is a really hard idol to raise because even screwing up a little bit makes her tension drop through the floor. Anime Producer-san does his best though even though Chihaya is, well, Chihaya.

This episode is way closer to the quality of the first episode, after episode 3 nearly ruined everything with terrible Yukiho who sucks. Actually, the Xenoglossia versions of both Chihaya and Yukiho are better than the versions seen here.

Looks like they want to get the beach episode out of the way early, judging from the PV. Whatever.

I really liked that song Chihaya sang mid-way through the episode, really classy without any music and such. Great episode overall, Takane and fang girl had some really funny moments. Looks like next week we are getting a beach episode.

Aoi Tori is apparently one of Chihaya's image songs, which explains why it got used twice this episode. Of all the seiyuus of IM@S, I really do think Chihaya's has the best singing voice. Which actually makes sense within the "canon", such as it is, since Chihaya is the idol who cares most about singing and least about, well, everything else. Except in Xenoglossia where she only cares about
being with Imber forever and ever. She gets so massively cockblocked vag-blocked by Haruka, though. LOL.

Kaiji 2nd Season - 17:

Ugh, I have no idea what Kaiji has planned. Seems like a 100% pure luck-depending situation. But I like that we got to see the company president again and that he´s watching Kaiji. Can´t wait for the final competition against him.

Blargh sorry for asking this again but-
Fractale: Is it worth watching?
Gonna go get all eps. of Utena soon, I've been wanting to watch a yuri series for a long time now. Should I also watch the movie or just skip it?

Nope, Fractale isn't worth watching. And yeah definitely watch the utena movie, but preferably after you have finished the series.

Fractale - Not really worth watching, no.

Mayo Chiki 3 - Much better than the second episode! I actually liked this one. The plot was solid and moderately interesting. The "twist" at the end was pretty obvious, but that's fine, and worked quite well to give the plot a nice ending, and some character development for butler-girl too.

The "double date" was pretty amusing too... I wonder, is rich girl really trying to set up butler girl and MC's sister, or is she just lying about that? She's not exactly trustworthy after all, recall episode 1... :lol On that note, the ending of the episode was pretty funny. :D

Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel 4 - In this special episode of Twin Angel, our heroines learn about the perils of a free press (What? It's true!). The plot is mostly about school paper girl, who wants to take photos of the Twin Angel girls for the paper; the girls, however, don't want her to because they think that photos will expose their identities. The continuing joke of course is that she always takes bad pictures which don't show much of anything.

The other plot in this episode is about a group of otakus who Twin Angel are chasing. Yeah, villain girl and her sidekick guy from the first three eps isn't in this episode, instead it's just these random people. They aren't too evil, but they are bad, and get worse later on in the episode when in an attempt at revenge they hold up a restaurant (with guns, yes), hoping for Twin Angel to show up so that they can take photos and videos of them. Because of plot #1 they have trouble getting there in costume, but when they finally do arrive they... start posing for the villains. Yeah, they don't beat them up or anything, they start posing so that the otakus can take exactly the videos and pictures they want. They do hold up little bars over their eyes, to try to hide their identities, but really, it's so, so stupid... you don't do that with villains! Come on... Would it be possible to any more blatantly pander to the otaku base watching this show? It'd be hard. However, though, it was kind of funny when
main "I love uniforms" villain guy refused to take any pictures of the younger girl who's the third member of Twin Angel (and yes, on that note, people do comment on how there are now three members of "Twin" Angel), saying how there are laws about that sort of thing here, even though she was fully clothed in her costume... um, as if whatever laws he's referring to are worse than armed hostage-taking? Seems unlikely... but the joke was amusing anyway. :p[;/spoiler] That was a rare amusing moment though, most of this episode was either generic, dull, or stupid and trying way too hard to appeal to the otaku base.

Overall, stupid episode. This show is bad. Don't watch it... just don't... I will, though. I wonder if I'll manage to drop it before it finishes? Hopefully... we'll see.

Usagi Drop 4:

Another great episode. If it doesn´t mess up, this could go down as one of the more memorable, classic anime. I so hope that Daikichi gets together with the divorced hottie, haha. Also, did they basically confirm/strongly hin in this episode that Daikichi´s grandpa isn´t Rin´s real dad? We saw Masako, who has black hair. Unless she colored it and unless Daikichi´s grandpa had blone hair, which is highly unlikely, Rin´s dad has to be a different person. Two black haired parents can´t produce a blonde child, can they?

Fractale isn't really worth it, mostly because it's massively disappointing - a potentially interesting premise let down by terrible direction. Keep the concept art handy and maybe buy the soundtrack, but otherwise I'd say pass (and I say this having been really looking forward to it).

The Utena movie is excellent, but wait until you've watched the whole TV series before watching it as it's basically a complete reimagining of the show in a very different but interesting way.

Lol, I'm watching something you are again!

I actually like this show quite a bit to be honest.

First off, you totally can trust rich girl although of course she's not trying to set up the MC's sister with the butler girl, come on.

The rich characters like a more well meaning Okazaki from Clannad trying to go around and fix their issues by trolling them and having fun, like MM! but better. The butler girl's Charles from IS but done a wee bit better but unfortunately less manipulative but fortunately more murderous.

I do dislike some stuff in the show, I mean, the accidental breast grabbing scene from the first episode was retarded, I still to this day do not see how it's possible to find yourself in that situation so I don't understand anime's love for the scenario. Of course you can accidentally touch a girl but you don't accidentally unbutton her blouse, untuck it if tucked in, land with your hands on the persons breasts when you'd more likely try and catch yourself by having the hands hit the ground and frankly if you do brace yourself by putting your palms on the other person's chest you are a dick, oh, and get a few good squeezes in for confirmation. Someone who can accidentally do all of that is just subconsciously dangerous.

Also I dislike how they have the(episode 3 spoiler)
kidnapper say something previously mentioned by the rich girl, have the main acknowledge it and yet not piece it together.
If you're not going to have the main be the type who can piece it together don't just find a way to clue the audience in using the main character but without him realizing it, that's just lazy and insulting.

But anyways, rich girl's totally trustworthy in intent however her methods are suspect. I think she's the type of person who'd take good care of you but the means are of course absurd and nonsense. Like the double date,
I think it was planned from the start as she wanted to get the two together but also apart, I think she wants things to move quickly in either direction, whether that be romantic or platonic so she needed a rival which she's setting up to be herself. Now, whether she's actually a true rival or not remains to be seen but technically if she can refer to the butler girl as her first love that'd imply there's a second one. The MC's sister is unfortunately fodder for that mission however I think either way she does want butler girl to have female friends too so while she may hope they have fun or become friends and that may be part of her intent the other half is the lolz.

But round about here's where I expect the show to begin to fall apart, once the rival is introduced I think this is quickly going to devolve into a harem competition like everything else, you can already tell they're going to introduce at least one other girl to the fray, for example, so I expect it to fall from "grace" pretty quickly. It might remain entertaining though as I do find the show funny.

I'm waiting for the inevitable setting herself up with the dude over her butler.

Episode 3 was good and all but I liked episode 2 more. Subaru was adorable in her date with the MC.

Yeah, see, the way they handled that scene was so over-the-top and absurd when you put even a second of thought into it I don't see how you can do anything but love it!

Idolm@ster 4
Awesome episode, it had too much Haruka and not enough Takane.
The cameraman knows what's up with all those close ups.
Haruka going on extra whore mode today, you see how many times she fell? Clearly she was trying to show off what she doesn't have.
THAT PREVIEW, THAT AZUSA BIKINI, THAT HNNNNNNNNNNG!

Imas thread seems dead. Oh well. It had a good run.

Idolmaster Ep3

I liked this episode more than ep2, but the situation was pretty stupid and implausible. I don't see how a girl can leave her house every morning and go work at an Idol agency if she has such a serious case of manphobia. It is simply not logical. Otherwise the premise of the episode wasn't too bad, and there were entertaining moments. My other complaint is that the song sequence at the climax of the episode was pretty poorly directed. I don't like the way it was cut at all, and it didn't really drive home the emotions needed for the scene.

Idolmaster Ep4

Probably the best episode since ep1. It was enjoyable, not too unrealistic, and a very interesting look at the alternative work that Idols do in Japan. Kerokero Kitchen is a really fucking terrible show, but I think that was the intention. They really nailed how bad variety shows are in Japan. The direction throughout the episode was good, and it is probably the best paced episode so far in terms of never feeling too long or boring at any point.
