The manga is even better. Its author is a very special man.

Read his new series, Nanika Mochigattemasu Ka. The main character has a friend that tells him to kill people that talk on their cellphones while driving. Light Yagami WISHES he was that dedicated.

I want the arc where Keima
switches bodies with Yui to be animated.
Too bad from what I hear no one watched TWGOK

Guys, can we declare a moratorium on Usagi Drop spoilers? We get it, something fucked up happens and everyone hates the manga now. I've gone out of my way to avoid spoilers but yet I still have a vague idea of what fucking happens. I'd like to keep it up to that point, please. (At least until I watch the movie then all bets are off)
The anime supposedly isn't running anywhere near long enough to reach the manga ending, so it isn't something you should really worry about being spoiled on.

It probably isn't what you would guess anyways, if that helps ease your mind.

I hope so, although with everyone's emphasis on the manga, I'm probably not too far off on guessing whatever it is.

Well if the anime is never going to get there it doesn't really matter how the manga ends.

The manga could end with Daikichi getting cryogenically frozen to run an orphanage on Mars in the year 2153, but that kind of thing wouldn't spoil the anime if the plot remains in the early stages of the manga.

True enough, as they say ignorance is bliss, and I like the blissfulness before it turns into a wierd sci fi on mars.

I plan on reading the manga when the anime ends, so I'd also prefer no spoiler talk.

Well I have just watched Episode 1 of Deadman Wonderland.
I wished I watched it earlier.

I am hooked at it. It was very intriguing and making me want to watch all the Ep's

HNNNG's out of HNNNG.

I knew this gif would appear. Nice episode as always.

As for the manga ending, who cares if Darth Vader is Rin's father?

Things that make no sense are pretty intriguing.

Yeah, it's pretty good. If you liked episode 1, you'll probably love the rest of the show.

There's a pretty eh non-ending, but if you're open to reading the manga afterward, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Idolmaster 6: Azusa looks fucking hot, long or short hair! Win! That dance animation at the end was really fucking sweet!! October can't come soon enough!!

I really have to build a proper list of shit to watch. At the moment it's like, pick it up, see if it's available somewhere.

I also just realised I'm watching 7 or 8 shows at the same time.

Ye, I'll probably end up reading the Manga one time.

The 'Non-Ending' might not bother me that much if the next 11 Episodes are good.

I wouldn't say everyone, I still love the manga, my love for it never dwindled, but other than that, I agree with the rest.

Kitoh is awesome indeed.

I have 3 or so episodes left for Kaiji. Definitely gets a lot more intense. Then it goes back to the card games and I lose interest. :/
So far, 4/5.
Things I like:
Intensity
Themes on humanity, rich vs. poor, etc.
Game setups

Things I don't like:
The commentator (gets annoying)
The voice acting

What's so bad about NTR? Unless it happens to you of course.
I don't know about that. I read one that just killed my...me inside. It was pretty depressing. I feel bad just thinking about it.

Because Darth Vader was loyal to Padme! He wouldn't have slept with some two bit hussy. George Lucas would be turing in his grave if he were dead and gave a shit about Star Wars.

Oh I missed talking about our Home Theater setups.

I have a Pioneer Elite Receiver that powers a nice set of Energy Speakers. Before that I had never had a set of dedicated speakers and always used TV Speakers. Listening is bliss now.

Part of me doesn't want to spend a lot of cash on gear since I'm probably going to move out in the next year or so, if I don't go to Japan first...

Pics or GTFO

Yeah yeah, I haven't shown a pic of mine in this thread. Yet.

lol my place is in kind of a mess right now. I still need to buy a DVD Shelving unit.

My setup is

1x Sony XBR HX929
1x Pioneer VSX21TXH
1x Energy RC-LCR
2x Energy RC-50
2x Energy RC-10
1x Element Designs A2-300

I just bought a Mac Mini to organize and play my anime collection with XBMC.

The sub is huge.

My Pioneer Kuro died.

What a true kanchou. His life before that of his crew, and even in flight he still obliterates his opponent.

Awesome moment by bishounen-kun when he FUCKING RAMS THE SPACESHIP HEAD-FRONT AGAINST THE ENEMY. Yamamoto looked pretty manly too.

We'll get to my home theater a bit later. First:

THE IDORUM@STER 6:

They definitely squeezed every single cent out of the production budget this episode. The GLORIOUS dance sequence had the bare minimum number of frames needed to qualify as animated. It was completely ridiculous. And yet somehow it still managed to be completely awesome. This is what THE IDOLM@STER games would look like if they were hand-animated instead of using 3D polygonal cel-shaded models. I don't have much to say about Smoky Thrill itself, it is Ryuuguu Komachi's image song from the game, so there you have it. It is what it is. It's nice when a series is being directed by someone who's a fan of the source material I guess, this whole series is like a love letter to the franchise. Somebody at KyoAni better take notice, THE IDORUM@STER is in K-ON's rear-view mirror and Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear.

Misc. notes:

Players of the games already know this, but if you didn't realize it from the OP animation, the ED scroll this episode makes it explicitly clear what each idol's image colors are. The colored arrows motif consists of each idol's image color, in the OP you see the arrow corresponding to their color rising up behind them, in the ED of this episode you see them following their arrow. You can see this very clearly in this video where they wear costumes corresponding to their color.

Much like Al Gore, Miki always refers to herself in the third person. This makes all conversations with her amusing, as you can see from the episodes so far. I want to produce Miki in the game just so I can be amused by Miki always referring to herself as Miki like she's The Rock or something. The Futami twins are the same way, though it's not as noticeable or amusing with them because their referring to themselves as Mami and Ami are helpful for figuring out which one is talking at any given time. The same voice actress does the voice for both twins, which means she frequently talks to herself when Mami and Ami are talking to each other.

It's not shown much in the anime so far, but now that Ryuuguu Komachi has officially entered the story, we might see more of the interactions between The Miki and Iori. The reason Iori is called Forehead-chan is because that is Miki's nickname for her, as they don't like each other much. The brief exchange in episode 2 between them where Miki calls her that is so far the only reference to this mutual dislike in this series. Mostly I want to see Iori get called Forehead-chan a lot more, that's pretty much her real name to me because it's what she is always referred to as in Xenoglossia despite Miki not being in that show.

Kotori is awesome. That's all.

So, my blu-ray arrived in the mail.

REDLINE:

Wow, what a ride. Holy crap.

I suppose most people are expecting the story to be pretty meh, and yeah, it was pretty much just a shell for the action and delivering the characters to the next race or battle. But still, let's face it, we're all watching it for the amazing art. And it delivers. It's an assault on the eyes, but in the best way possible. At times it feels like there's too much going on, and I'm sure I'll have to watch it a couple more times to take everything in. This is a fantastic movie, visually speaking, and I can't help but wonder how often we'll see stuff at this level anymore? Oh well, this is a great piece, and I'm going to guess it'll be very rewatchable.

So yeah, that's been my weekend movie, haha.

Edit: added a pic to make my post seem more exciting, lol.

Well, I was also going to post something about iM@S 6, but I don't feel like there's much of a point to following something like that.

e: Wait, based on Youtube video of the Smoky Thrill sequence, someone had already put that up less than two hours after the episode aired?

I somewhat regret not buying on Amazon.co.jp or CDJapan with EMS/FedEx delivery. Then I look again at the exchange rate and remember why :(

Oh well, I'll have it next week with free shipping from YesAsia.
