They're boning each other hard,
they literally went from hating each other to being best buddies doing half-naked photoshoots and eating romantic dinners with each other in a time period of 10 months. They aren't even trying to hide it.
If you think otherwise you're clearly in denial.

I want to hear the reasoning behind this one.

I enjoyed the first half for the first part so I'll leave my brief thoughts on each episode post Jake.

14 - It's a light episode, to be expected after the end of the arc. The whole relationship between the two is just creepy, Tiger is probably older than her father. The episode itself wasn't very entertaining or funny, it was more of a timeskip filler episode than anything with the reveal of Tiger's powers starting to erode being the only thing that mattered especially given the obvious lack of development between Tiger / Blue Rose. The single worst episode in the entire series.

15 - Another basically character specific episode about the perils of Love. This one was better than the last because it wasn't so overly cheery which was a bit unexpected given the character in focus. I am not a big Sky High fan, he's a poor man's version of Kotetsu in a lot of ways, the simple good guy who is extremely straight forward about doing what's right even if he's not really good at it. I can't stand the combination of Sunrise + Love in general but this was actually one of their better done episodes at it. 15 wasn't nearly as bad as 14, but the two combined represent a part of the series I could have sorely did without.

16 / 17 - Series finally jumps back into the story a bit more with Lunatic. His character and backstory is definitely my favorite of all the side characters in the series. The rest of these episodes involve Kotetsu, who is my favorite character in the series, doing his best Barnaby impersonation, becoming the woe is me crying little girl who won't stop letting you know how depressed he is.

His family is a complete waste of time and one of my biggest gripes about the series is that not even his own daughter can't tell the difference between Wild Tiger and her Father when the only difference between them is a mask that doesn't even cover his entire face.

18 - 21 - Don't feel like writing on these. They are executed quite well technically but it's just laughably bad at what they are actually doing with the series. And it's just getting worse and worse. None of the plot "twists" were shocking at all and the entire buildup to Maverick being the baddy was so contrite and pointless.

The series has spiraled from what I'd consider a 8/10 or so after the first half of the series to about a 6/10 now after episode 21. I hate everything about the second half of the series, much more so from about 18 to 21. I have no faith down the stretch.

I hate the crap out of Barnaby, he is such an awful awful character. After the end of the first half I thought he'd finally be over the whole
my parents are dead and I have no idea who did it woe is me my life sucks even though I'm a good looking crime fighting superhero, but nope!

Does nobody on GAF like Natsume Yuujinchou San? I just ran through the first three episodes today it's surprisingly good. Very relaxing but at the same time somewhat unsettling. Has a very unique vibe to it, and executes what it sets out to do pretty well. I'm feel like I never see it brought up on here though, because it seems like one of the better shows of the season. Maybe I just unconsciously skipped over posts about it.

There have been a couple of posts about it. It just doesn't lend itself to absurd gifs.

The introduction of the Matoba has changed up the third season considerably and I'm filled with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation toward the less laid-back tone of the third season.

Yeah, it was a bit of a tonal shift I wasn't quite prepared for... since I was told to expect stand alone feel good ghost stories right before that happened.

I could basically describe my relationship with one of my best friends as this. I barely knew the kid at the start of the school year and after a year we were best friends. I'm not gay and neither is he.

I can understand a few of your complaints such as episodes 14 and 15. I feel you're completely wrong on how Kotetsu comes to terms with what's happening to him. It's a giant change in his life given his age and it's what he's always wanted to be. When shit like this started happening to anybody I feel it's perfectly normal to start feeling like shit especially when most of your life has been dedicated to this. As for Kaede not recognizing him that is a classic trope of any superhero anything, I agree it's bullshit but it's to be expected. As for the rest of his family, I don't hate them but I don't like them either. They could have been a bit more compassionate towards him for all he does for his daughter.

I agree the plot twist wasn't surprising, but nobody really started to think it until like half way through the series. As for Barnaby in general with what's happening to him right now he has or at least had the right to act the way he did. He wanted closure for something that traumatized him as a child and just when he thought he finally could move on shit hits the fan.

T&B isn't some end all anime, but I think it's incredibly refreshing when all we see now is a bunch of cute little girls bullshit or giant cow tits flopping around everywhere with a pansy ass MC. Kotetsu is one of the most refreshing protagonists in recent anime, he's a middle aged widowed father with his dream crashing down and for the most part nobody offering him any sort of help in dealing with it.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi 01: Tsundere? Check. Loli? Check. Big Breasted Maid? Check. Incestuous siblings? Check. Wacky yet sexy scientist? Shy cipher relatable to the target audience? Check. Kyon-esque narrator? Hey that's kinda cool.

Flying kicks to the face make me biased, I kind of liked this episode.

La Chica Revolucionaria Utena 02: That reusable animation is gonna get reused, dawg. I don't think we had to do this duel again, but the music during the fights is great so I cannot complain too much. Chu Chu is not annoying (yet), but he's not endearing either. At the very least he proves Utena will stand up for whomever, no matter the size.

La Filette Révolutionnaire Utena 03: My favourite episode so far. Utena shows her more gentle side, and we see that not everyone in the student council is an arsehole. It's the incestuous elements fucking everything up, once again. :/

My only complaint what that it was too convenient how she was wearing the boys uniform with the shoulder pads under that shoulder-less dress.

You mean making it better.

I doubt anyone will care, but Kokurikozaka Kara the bad Goro's 2nd movie, placed 4th in the weekend box office in its 6th week putting its total at 3 billion yen.

In comparison, Gedo Senki earned 7 billion yen and Arrietty 9 billion.

The most successful movie in Japan ever is Spirited Away which earned 30 billion (23.5 million people)

He could have picked something classier to source, like Shindo L's C80 book or something.

I hadn't looked at that yet at the time (plus Mercury had a nice expression going, only reason i switched from the previous touhou girl with the trollish grin).
Although I'm not so convinced that would have been classier!

Just dropping in to say that IM@S 7 was easily better than any episode of HanaIro; this doesn't mean anything about the overall quality of either show, it just means that episode 7 of IM@S was specially good, with animation that genuinely enhances the quality of the characterization, accomplished and atmospheric scene composition and some extremely good use of color and lighting. You guys need to learn to watch anime on a "by-episode" basis; not every episode of a good show is the same quality or even good.

It's like how episode 4 of Doremi Naisho is definitely better than any episode of any show this season yet that doesn't mean Doremi Naisho should be considered the better show or anything of the sort.

Lafiel will never admit defeat on Idolmaster. He's riding that horse over the cliff.

I dunno what kind of defeat he would have to admit; we're in ShaftFan land, all he needs to do is what Bakemonogatari/Madoka supporters do and quote sales numbers to prove the quality of a show! ;>

Sacred Seven 8
This show keeps being dull.
Squall feeling too embarrassed to explain to Aiba what the raised finger meant was one of the worst moments of the episode.

Moe Exorcist 6-10
The more episodes I watch, the more I warm up to this. Rin did have a little shift, which made him better for my taste, although he's still a moron. I disliked the rash behaviour, which is what caused some of the problems to begin with, but now he seems less rash in those critical moments, controlling his bad behaviour a little better.

Steins Gate - 21

Poor Okarin, wanting to save everyone but can't get out of choosing.

French Croissant Show - 08

My eyes have been opened, I never realised how women were so weak willed in most of the western fairytails such as Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty etc that they needed a prince to move on.

Loli Basket Ball - 07

the scenario they were going with had promise but seemed lame to me when i read it.

Was disappointed when i finished it.

It took me half hour of research until I realized I was looking at the wrong website. I don't know if I should be proud of those 30 minutes wasted.

Alice no Takarabako's art got much worse, somehow. Most doujinshi artists get better with time, but he has been on a downward spiral for the past 3 years.

I don't need to do that. The quality of those shows are self-evident.

You can be proud and ashamed at the same time.
Proud that you didn't immediately recognize it. Ashamed that it takes 30 minutes to find something on the web.

Steins;Gate 21

Character development and stuff, which is nice. It's what the show does best, as opposed to
time travel that actually works like fate, which still annoys me
.

I loved Madoka in spite of it's flaws (and there are several), one of my favorites of the year thus far. I don't care about sales numbers, most of my favorites sold like garbage although I did my part if it got localized.

Here's some Sayaka x Kyouko goodness, the episode 9 ending song from the just released Vol 5. Blu-Ray, so everybody stop fighting - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x_xlYaExig

Is any line of argument on any of those topics not tiring at this point?

Tree of Life is such a Shinkai movie.

Well, they suck. There's not much else to say. It's not worthwhile to analyze and detail the merits of a mediocre anime factory on the same level as Gonzo or similar studios. Just say they suck and move on.
