Super Street Fighter 4: Here Comes New Challengers?

More milking the franchise and killing the fighting game revival quickly!

If this is "Super Super Street Fighter 4: Turbo Championship Edition: Now give us another $60, BITCHES" I'm going to fucking rage. Them not doing a DLC route a la Biohazard 5 with Street 4 still pisses me off. And I just got Super this week. :|
Super was never $60.

Don't worry, that won't happen

Super Street Fighter IV-2: Antiquate is now available for $30

Yeah Capcom, get that arcade version done pronto so the interns can make a PC version off it (SFIV arcade hardware *is* a PC).

Well by looking at the select screen there are columns of 3, and it looks like there is space for 2 more columns (so 6 characters).

I would like
Rolento
Karin
Elena
Hugo
Alex
Urien
and 2 new stages

I remember Ono saying that he will not add DLC characters and used a chess analogy of people having a chess piece and people who didn't pay won't have a chess piece so it won't be fair. I think it would be a better idea, if the DLC was free, after all, the main reason he will add new characters is for the new arcade release so to patch the new characters in console versions shouldn't cost anything. If Ono does go with the free approach then I expect only 2-3 new characters.

EDIT:
so what the fuck is Ono planning for this Comic Con announcement, here are the possibilities

1. Namco VS Capcom and vice versa
2. Arc System Works collaboration (remember they have an announcement too around the same time)
3. Darkstalkers 4 (Ono said he wanted to make this before)
4. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade/PC and new characters DLC

wat

I know the whole Capcom milking Street Fighter joke has been standard around these parts for years now, but I don't know anyone that felt ripped off with Super Street Fighter IV. Considering all the stuff they added and the low cost, it was pretty much perfect. If they wanted another $60, then SSFIV was the time to get it.

All that being said, I could see DLC characters being pretty pricey.

why would capcom release new characters as DLC when they know damn well that people would be spend another $40 easily on new characters

It's hard even acknowledging this point when your comparison just leaked stupidity from every pore, but, if Capcom decides to reveal new characters, it likely won't even go past 7 or 8 new characters, let alone 10, new stages, new music, and new features.

Anything new will most likely not be disc based.

Bridget is a "him", Cuilan is a "him". Poison is a "her", because she's neither a cross dresser nor a "trap".

I got a picture in the Capcom Design Works artbook with her having chin stubble, and that pretty much ends the debate for me :lol .

And my hopes would be for the obvious Hugo, Q, Rolento and Elena (maybe Alex).

Haggar would be cool for Ryu/Ken style grappler battles with Zangief, as well as completing the Final Fight trio.

But we all know deep inside it will just be some character tweaks at the most.......(major hakan buff)

This is the first time I'm hearing of this.

Where is the source for this info? And is there a scan?

Anyway, I'd love to see this happen. Maybe like 4 new characters.

I'd love to see:

Alex
Hugo
Sean
R. Mika

Maybe a couple of new characters?

And I'd love to see more backgrounds.

so you're getting upset over what I said, you'd be the first to buy a SSSF4 with 1 character, then go on to talk about how new stages and music justify $40 and everyone is stupid for doubting Capgod

i feel like they're in a bit of a rut because Super is pretty well balanced, but needs slight tweaks to make Makoto, Hakan, Guy, and a few others more useful. Not necessarily more powerful, but give them more solutions to tough matchups and situations.

They can't do this as DLC because the fighting game community is so tied to offline play.

They can't do a new retail release so soon because the market barely supported super street fighter 4.

I don't know what the answer is, especially if it involves new characters. No one wants to deal with does this box have that character and this profile to use the DLC bullshit at a meetup or local tourney.
