The Vita Lounge - 92/100
SUPERBEAT: XONiC is a fantastic rhythm game that uses its roots to its advantage; drawing from DJ MAX experience to create a portable addiction that's accessible to all fans of the genre, and playable (with a challenge) at all skill levels. If you pick up one rhythm game this year it should most certainly be this one!
God is a Geek - 90/100 (9/10)
This is my favourite rhythm game across all platforms, with its song selection spreading across all genres, perfect core gameplay, and fantastic presentation.

PlayStation LifeStyle - 85/100
The tunes’ over-the-top excursions into sensory overload are a ton of fun, and their brief length makes them ideal for portable gaming.
PS Nation - 85/100 (8.5/10)
The idea behind XONiC is to make a rhythm game for rhythm game fans. There are some small nitpicks that could probably improve it, however, the fantastic soundtrack and otherwise sturdy gameplay mechanics lead to a great music game overall. The difficulty, which can ramp up significantly for the hardest songs and missions, also helps and is well attuned for those who want a challenge.
In a year of plenty of great music games, XONiC tries to stay away from the pack by focusing on the group who just wants a solid rhythm game without frills. I’d say that SUPERBEAT: XONiC succeeds at that, making it a game worth checking out.

I experienced a few touch screen, navigation and HUD setbacks in my time with the game and there are a few missing elements for fans of DJ Max, but when you factor in the elements that really matter for a rhythm game - music and gameplay - Superbeat XONiC fires on all cylinders.
Push Square - 80/100
It's not only a great addition to the Vita's library – it's one of the best rhythm games on the platform.
ZTGD - 80/100
Even though I wasn’t as big of a fan of the song list in XONiC compared to other DJMax games, the developers at PM Studios prove themselves to be back in top form with a slick package that plays just as well as it looks.
Con Freaks & Geeks - 80/100 (4/5 Stars)
Aside from a few control missteps, SUPERBEAT: XONiC is a slick, stylish production that sets a high standard for rhythm music games.
We Got This Covered - 70/100
Easy to get into and challenging to master, Superbeat: Xonic will please many rhythm game fans, even if a few presentation elements feel like a step backwards from the developer's previous work.
High-Def Digest - 70/100 (3.5/5 Stars)
'Superbeat: XONiC' is not a bad game, but it doesn't even try to appeal to everyone. The steep and brutal learning curve can scare many away, with only the DL portraits to help allivate some of the difficulty. Then again, this isn't for the average rhythm gamer, this is more for those that wish that the tough arcade titles of yesteryear would make a return… and in that aspect, 'Superbeat: XONiC wonderfully fills that niche.
Cubed3 - 70/100 (7/10)
Superbeat: Xonic is a solid and ambitious rhythm game, and possibly one of the best to ever release on the PlayStation Vita. The large amount of content will certainly keep players enticed and immersed, but thumbs may feel strained during the task of playing the more challenging and rapid songs, unfortunately. However, thanks to incredible sounding music, ears will be blissfully satisfied, as well as the user and any avid music listener.
