Superman vs the Incredible hulk...settle my nerd debate please

Sorry, I meant beat or incapacitate/knock out as you said. But yeah that's true.
 
Current gen Superman would lose.

Silver age Superman would fuck up any version of the Hulk real bad.
 
Wouldn't Superman just throw Hulk into space? Even if the Hulk can survive in space, he has no way to getting back on Earth without outside help. He could be extremely lucky and happen to hit something like an Asteroid(not likely, space is HUGE) and somehow manage to target a moving Earth when he leaps off of it. If Hulk manage to return, Superman can just throw him back into space again(or into the direction of the sun).

World War Hulk shows that he's quite adept at finding his way back home after being abandoned in space.

As much as I love Hulk, I would give it to Superman in this. But only if Superman is smart enough to know to just jettison Hulk off into space. If he tries to keep it earthbound, then Supes is screwed. Of course, Superman was dumb enough to keep his first fight with Doomsday earthbound.

That would be a cooler fight. Hulk vs. Doomsday. Hulk would just have to keep finding better ways to smash him each time he came back.

But that's assuming Superman would kill him in one maneuver. If Superman's first move doesn't kill him, his subsequent moves wouldn't likely kill him since Hulk would be pissed at that point.

Superman doesn't kill and he's already fought people of equal and greater power (Brainiac, Darkseid, Doomsday) Hulk SAYS the madder he gets the stronger he gets, but it's bnever been shown to eb the case. while Superman has been shown to Move planets and moons (current modern Superman not silver age) and hulk hasn't topped that. plus speed, heat vision, invulnerability and flight make him too much for Hulk. I think the more interesting argument is Gladiator versus Superman.

it would take him a looong time assuming he's tossed into random space and it takes 1xx years to crash into a planet with enough tech.

well it's not like Hulk or Doomsday will just let themselves get grabbed and tossed into space. ebings of equal strenght usually just have drag-out, knock-out fights because theya re so evenly matched. Superman grabs Doomsday and tosses him to the moon, Doomsday just jumps back down to Earth. same as the Hulk.

Superman absorbs his power from the Sun.

Hulk draws his power from from the multiverse.
 
The Flash. The answer is always speedsters.

Though I am going to have to go with Superman, super speed and flight are huge advantages.

The real question is can Kenshiro's Hokuto Shinken kill Superman or the Hulk?

Hulk is more Doomsday than Doomsday and Doomsday killed Superman.....to answer the question it depends on the plot...if one of them is more right than the other thats who will win.

Yeah kinda like how Frieza knew he couldnt beat Super Saiyan Goku so he tried to blow up the planet because if the planet blew up there would be no more air for him to breathe.

Superman could even just throw Hulk into the Sun.
 
Supes won't win by virtue of being a goody two shoes, unless he is pushed to the limit and try to lobotomize Hulk.

Kill Banner and you get Hulk with no Banner to hold him back....might as well give superman a Krytonite Sandwich.

Hulk just wants to be left alone, Superman being such a goody two shoes he would want to make sure the monster is contained....this would further enrage the hulk making him stronger....Superman would then be more determined to put hulk down.....this would enrage the hulk some more and now tha planet is too soft to contain the fight.

Also if Supes learned that Hulk regenerates from almost nothing and anger gets him, then he can reason with him and use those facts. Supes isn't just a flying brick, he's actually intelligent.

You think Hulk wouldn't get angry if someone tried to reason with him? I think he would probably get more angry that the person isn't fighting him.
