So how does the "Send with StreetPass" feature work? There's no way it will beam my messages out to randoms on the street, right? Will it only send to a friend who is nearby?

You can unlock "date stamp" later, which makes you change the date for the notes you send. Either: 1-7 earlier than the current date or 1-7 days after the current date. I guess thats why.

I wonder why Nintendo chose not to...it's clearly not because it's too HW intensive, as I don't see it being any more so than the browser. There must've been a reason.
