Take this color blind test and post your results

Saw all but 1 image which just looked entirely gray. I feel like that one tile was a trick for people who might be guessing.

I CSI-enhanced the third one in the OP to try to make the 6 more obvious.

If you can't see the pale-green or pale-pink 9s in the first two pics, though, either your monitor sucks or you've got some color blindness. They are blaringly obvious to me.

Have to echo that you should take any Internet based test of this nature with a grain of salt simply because the device you're using to take it is almost certainly not calibrated well enough to perform any real diagnosis.

Anyway, I answered nothing for a good number of the slides on my terrible work monitor and still was told I have normal color vision.

Controls and/or intentionally obscure ones to sell their products. But yeah nobody should be buying what they are selling. Go to your local air force recruitment center instead :P

''Unfortunately the test was not able to conclusively identify a particular type of color blindness.''

Thought I did pretty good...I saw 3 nothings and 2 unsure though maybe thats it...pretty sure I got all the others right and I am not color blind, that I know lol....

Okay I did the head shaking trick and it worked for #3

Take it again and post a couple pictures you said unsure to, GAF will set you straight.

Pfft or the first two. I like to think everyone is just seeing things they shouldn't be.
There's a 9 in each picture man. What are you blind!?

Moderate deutans (“doo-tans”) have a moderate form of red-green color blindness caused by an anomaly in the M-cone photopigment gene sequence.

Moderate deutans usually respond very positively to the EnChroma lens. We believe there is a 90% chance that EnChroma glasses will help your color vision.

All EnChroma products are satisfaction-guaranteed within 60 days of purchase.

Already knew I was colorblind.

Sucks when I'm rock climbing because I often have to ask people to discern the colors on the wall for me.

This quote kinda made me sad:

A person with moderate deuteranomaly can typically perceive about 100 thousand distinct shades of colors, which is just 10% of the 1 million shades seen with normal color vision.

Sigh.

Thanks for this, wasn't sure if that was a 5 or 6 but knew it was one of the two.

Anyway, normal vision.

Strong protans (“pro-tans”) have a severe form of red-green color blindness.

Strong protans generally do not get the “wow-effect” from the EnChroma Cx lens. Color vision may be improved slightly, but the effect is subtle and takes a significant amount of time to adapt to (anywhere from days to weeks). In some cases, there may be no noticeable effect at all–these types are called dichromats, where the individual has effectively no L-cone photopigments at all).

Based on feedback from people with similar results, we believe there is about a 30% chance that EnChroma glasses will help your color vision.

All EnChroma products are satisfaction-guaranteed within 60 days of purchase.

Wonder if they intentionally have some with nothing, it's possible.
There are a few based on very minor alterations in contrast that aren't very easy to see. The 6 in the OP is one of them, but it's there. If you stand back from the image it becomes more obvious.

Normal color vision. Could see most of them pretty clearly except for the ones that were really gray and the ones that looked like the third image you posted.

Yeah just got home and can actually see the 6 when I stand back on this computer, still no dice on the first two. I'd really like to see some of the ones that Protan's are failing to see what I see. Anyone that got mild or strong protan mind posting two or three in a row that looked unsure?

Normal here. And the last one in the OP is a 6. I just had to pull my head back a bit from the screen and it became easier to see.

Extreme Deutan.. severe red green color blindness?! What the fuck. I can see red and green.

Uh. I think.

Yeah Extreme Deutan again. Well what the hell, man. I've had.. difficulty.. with some colors before but grass doesn't look red, tomatoes don't look green. I dunno why I went with those examples.

This is weird.

You serious that you got extreme? You don't not see colors, you just see them differently. For most people with problems a bright red thing is still red, but a faint red may mix with a faint green. Not sure what extreme means. Maybe you've always equated the color brown with red your whole life? Does shit look the same color as a tomato?

I think this couple of examples explain some of the pictures in the test and the third one in the OP.

Reverse color blindness test
Color vision deficient people have a tendency to better night vision and, in some situations, they can perceive variations in luminosity that color-sighted people could not. In fact, most color blind people can easily read what is written in the picture below... That means, if you fail the test, you probably have the full range of color sensitivity that is attributed to color-sighted people. Anyway, this test is not to be considered by itself sufficient to determinate defective color vision.

Now if we create an image where the red spectrum varies more than the luminosity, and it is the luminosity that traces out a number, then we have an image where only people who are red-green colorblind can see the hidden number. This is because people with normal color-vision are thrown off by the red, which the red-green colorblind people can't see. In the image below create using this method, people with red-green color-blindness will see a clearly defined circle.

Strong Deutan

R/G coloblindness, known since I was pretty young.

Destiny (prior to its colorblind options) and now The Witness are two games that mess with me pretty badly. Lots of those are just blank or unclear to me.

I could not see a number in the grey and greenish ones whatsoever so I just guessed. I don't know if I guessed right, but it said I have a normal color vision. Had no problems with any if the other

I saw the NO immediately. Don't see much of a circle in the second one though. I can see a ring in the center where the contrast/density of red starts to go away and its more dark. Probably on the edge of seeing it.
