Tales from the Borderlands |OT| Of Hype and Hyperion

Reading costumer review in Steam make my head hurt.

Too many people bought this game because they thought this is an FPS.

Just finished the episode, and it's one of best Telltale has ever made! It's really really good! The Borderlands universe feels great!

Problem on Xbox One, though, after finishing the game, I cannot view my choices? Any fix for this? I also found it weird that at the end I was asked to refresh my choices? Should I have chosen that?

I can't find this game anywhere on the UK PS4 PSN store ? Any ideas? I searched for tales of borderlands and just borderlands but it only comes up with a movie of the same name. It's not even in the digital releases section. Also when I do show all digital releases it comes up as folders with nothing in them. Store is buggy.

Yes, definitely inspired by Ed Wright, quite a few nods to the rest of the cornetto trilogy too, I half expected sasha to say to august, "you've got blue on you"!!!
Impressive first episode, looking forward to episode 2

Bought this and South Park with the buy one get one deal from Ubisoft, extremely pleased with the purchase. I think TFTB might actually be funnier than South Park. If you liked any other of Telltales' games, definitely an instabuy.

Id laugh at those who believed this game was a FPS but I first thought Borderlands ws a third person shooter. Lol

I played the 360 demo last night after watching gameplay videos on youtube and I am still impressed with what they were able to create with the Borderlands universe. It's a nice change of pace and more importantly it's very entertaining. I love the humor.

I wonder how frequently will they release episode. I'm not familiar with how TTG works with their releases. Getting this might help with the somewhat barren TPS end game. :3 still waiting for that cap increase/uvhm

Suppose to be once a month, but lately its whenever they feel like. I remember with Wolf Among Us, we had to wait almost 3 - 4 months for the next episode. Its why I will only buy on an episode by episode basis.

Still on the fence, have yet to buy the first episode. Just because I feel it will want make me get the Borderland games, which I don't want cause I don't like first person shooters.

That is a loooong freakin wait time. I think it's worth the purchase though, season pass or individually. The humor and dialogue is the best in the series. And BL has a lot of rpg elements so you might like it. If you had to play only one, id recommend BL2. The GotY edition shouldn't be too much now and it has an enormous amount of content. It wouldn't be a bad idea to slowly play BL2 while waiting for more episodes.

I went ahead and got it, holy hell is this good. The soundtrack, the voice overs, the length. I'm still playing what feels like over 3 hours and I still haven't seen the credits. I just finished
the race.

I like Walking Dead more, but this game probably beats Wolf Among Us. I will complete this series for sure.

It actually ran decently on PS3, which is rare. It had a few jaggies though.

Played the demo on Xbox 360 and it makes really a good impression, although I don't like Borderlands, but The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Expect an interactive movie and not a puzzle adventure.

I bought this on a whim and man did I enjoy it. Laughed my ass off the whole way through. Rhys and Fiona are great. The side characters are all pretty awesome as well

I went in to this expecting something neat but came out of the first episode really happy. The characters are likable so that made the experience more enjoyable. I also give props to Telltale for nailing the feel of the Borderlands universe with their engine.

Looking forward to episode 2!

I felt safe buying this because of your comment, and while I loved the game and don't regret my purchase, this is just so so wrong. I encountered gigantic sound mixing errors, constant stuttering and repetition of phrases, and some of the worst framerate slogs I've ever encountered.

With that said, this is my first Telltale Games game since the first Sam & Max episode, and I understand this is kind of par for the course. Enjoyed it enough that I might check out TWD or TWAU even, though.

The 360 version has some repetition of the dialogue. It seemed to happened when I paused the game for some reason. It did not stop me from enjoying the rest of the episode. If the clips shown at the end of the episode are anything to go by, it's going to be one hell of a ride. And I wonder how the heck
Springs ended up in this.??
Whatever the reason, I can't wait to see how TTG will write her.

EP1

First time playing anything Borderlands and I thought this was fantastic!
Really enjoyed the dialogue, scenario and cutscene direction in the first episode.
It's also nice to have more of a comedic story once in a while, both TWD and TWAU are pretty serious.

Can't wait for the next episode personally.

How cool is that Zero guy? :)hologram.gif

This is looking like Telltale's best game yet. I liked GoT's first episode, but this went above and beyond my expectations.

Yeah, I'm having high expectations for this! The Walking Dead Season 1 remains my favourite, Borderlands is a strong contender!

Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Telltale gets more money and I get to laugh at the poor saps who didn't bother to read what this game actually is before spending money on it (how loose do you have to be with your money for this to be possible >_>).

Just played through the first episode, and... my gawd... what an absolutely brilliant game in pretty much every way! Funny, good action, great characters, loot to look for, regular series tie-ins... everything a Borderlands fan could want or ask for.

Cannot be recommended highly enough. The only bad point? Having to wait for episode two.

Which game is better this or Game of Thrones? I am thinking of biting at half off for the first episode of either but this looks far more interesting. Is it pretty much more or less the same as The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us or any substantial changes?

I turned off Game of Thrones halfway through, and have no incliniation to return to it anytime soon, it was that boring - especially coming to it *after* Tales from the Borderlands...

Played this through last night on Android (Nexus 5, I'm travelling and didn't want to wait forever for the Vita release). Thought it was fantastic and can't wait for the rest of the series. I'm a massive fan of Borderlands and I love the setting and story in general so this was a perfect addition to that. I would say if you're on the fence, definitely give it a try. Watched my friend play it today with different choices and the variance in scenes is pretty great.

Damn. I'm going to play GoT in a couple months...that's disappointing to hear. I fucking loved this one.

Ugh I can't even load the game now. Every time I try I get stuck on "Updating Content. Connecting to Server..." And then it goes nowhere. What the fuck?

Bought this due to the PSN flash sale. Didn't have much interest in it due to borderlands but said screw it. This game is fanfuckingtastic. I just finished episode one and enjoyed the entire ride from start to finish. The Shaun of the dead Winchester plan scene had me dying. I really hope they can get the other episodes out in a timely fashion because the wait is going to be difficult. Easily the best first episode of the recent telltale games.
Also what's up with some people having trophies for later episodes? I see some are 0.01%, I assume they are just testers or something?

I'm thinking of picking up the telltale bundle on X11. Could anyone with that version give me some insight on how it is? I have TWD on the PS3 but I'd rather go next gen if the performance is noticeably better

It's good and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the controls are now.

didnt think i'd enjoy this as much as previous TT games because the borderlands comedy style never really jived with me, but the first episode had me laughing throughout. the notification when you skip the credits was great!

think its safe to say TT has me wrapped up in another 2 series with tales from the borderlands and game of thrones.

I bough this on release date, but didn't have time to play it till yesterday.

Why only 4 pages in this OT?

I wasn't expecting much, but I really liked it. It gave me the feeling of a cool action-comedy movie, in the style of the good old fashion Jackie Chan's movies. Am I the only one with that feeling?

Just released at a bad time I think, amidst all the other November titles. Couple that with the fact most people weren't excited about a Telltale Borderlands game (I was among that group but came around after the great reviews).

Hopefully more people play it because it's spectacular.

Since this is part of the current flash sale on PSN, I bought it for $15.99. Just finished episode 1 and I have to say this is definitely the most fun I've had out of all the Telltale games to date. I was really skeptical about them doing a Borderlands game, but so far I absolutely love it. I can't wait for episode 2!

I usually play Telltale games on PC, so this is the first time I've played one on a console. The game ran great on PS4 and I didn't run into any issues at all.

I picked up The Wolf Among Us for ~$6.50 on the Steam sale (the last Telltale game I played was JP) and after playing episode 1 I was hooked enough to buy The Walking Dead and GoT when they were daily deals. I think I'm looking forward to Borderlands more, but still holding out for a possible flash deal or daily deal. If it doesn't get one by the end of the sale I'll grab it at the current price.

I still haven't finished Borderlands 2 but I know some spoilers about the ending so I'm not sure how important finishing it would be for this game.

How's the PS4 performance? Think I might up the season pass for $15.

I was actually way more hyped for Game of Thrones as an ASOIF fan, but the few people I know who have played both say Borderlands' first episode was way better.
