Target dumps the core

Was wondering why I didn't see any cores at a newly opened target near my home. Had Elites and Premiums, that's it and the way it should be.

I love how Core users are going to feel :lol
I doubt there are a lot of core owners that didnt get a hdd, Most core owners I know only bought it because the prems were sold out.

The core is a smart SKU to have, but Microsoft has been handling it pretty crappy.

It should have been dropped to $250 w/ 64mb memory card bundled. Instead they did a pathetic $20 price drop and only made it even more retarded. There's now only a $70 difference between the core and premium instead of the $100 it was before (and when you add the $29.99 memory unit it's only a $40 difference).

I think I've asked this before, but are we bastards for wanting Core owners to get forced into spending another $100?

They'll do it happily with the right incentive from a game they want, like GTA4.

Nah, it's for the greater good afterall

So it's really a price increase, not a price drop

You have an amazing ability to state the obvious in a hilarious way :lol

I'll be buying a Core 360 after Microsoft begins shipping them with the 65nm chips. Keep my Premium HDD, sell my barebones Premium, problem solved.

Oh? And most core owners that I know bought it because they wanted it.

I'm not sure what's the big deal with wanting to get rid of the core...the damage has already been done (can't have a mass amount of HDD required games, no matter how small the core userbase is) so they might as well stick with it.

I don't see any huge benefits for 360 hard drive owners that would be gained from canceling the Core system almost 2 years after release.

well they are still a small minority, and all they have to do is upgrade.

Well personally, I think Microsoft are genius. Their intensive microtransaction policy is reaping them millions and bringing them ahead of Sony. Sony should've dropped their PS3 price to $399 and charged $50/year for their PSN service, or ship their PS3 with locked in harddrives that you can only purchase from Sony. Would've made that money back in two years anyways.

Funny, and unfortunately technicaly true.

It needed to be done. But I can see meltdowns, cataclysms, cats and dogs living together over this if it turns out to be true.
