UGH. The system went down right as they were putting the funds on my gift card.
Question for those who have actually succeeded: since they take your drivers license, name, and address, does this mean you can't go to a different Target to trade in three more games? There's one by my work (which is where I went today), one on my way home, one a few minutes from my home, and yet another one ten minutes away.
I guess worst case scenario is that I ask my wife to trade in three more games for me, but giving her a gift card in the middle of one of her favorite stores means I might never see it...

I went to 2 targets on the same day to bypass the 3 games per transaction rule, so you can take that route, if you'd like.
I ended up netting $250, about $50 less than I could've gotten if I did it the first day, but this'll be the beginning of my project Morpheus fund, so it was worth it, imo. I wasn't Doug anything with those games, anyway.

I'm pretty sure Josh means that the normal price you would be getting and not the 3x price coupled with the incompetence at the company level is dogshit.

Target just called me, System went back up. Heading there now to pick up my gift card.
I left my number for the guy to call me back. Even though I live two minutes away I'd rather wait for him to call.

And I'm just saying my personal experience has been the exact opposite. Been fortunate to get great trade in value, and the employees I dealt with were courteous and helpful...I'm not saying everyone's has...but for those that have had a smooth experience, it's been a hell of a deal.

So I tried again today since we got 99% through the process before discovering the system was down yesterday. Nobody was in the department, just like the previous day. I flagged someone down, they didn't even know target accepted trade-ins, and asked someone else. The other person said they don't accept trade-ins and that I should go to gamestop. I told them I had just been in the other day, the name of who helped me, etc. They said, ok we do accept but that person isn't in today, and the other person that does it is out for lunch. So did they know when that person would be back? Nope, but they left 10 min ago, so it would be a while. I had already been there longer than 10 minutes by that time. So frustrated, I just left. I call the electronic department now to see if they got their shit together yet and no one even answers. I give up, it's become more trouble than it is worth for me.

They can scan the game or click under N, not S when looking up the game title. That happened to me earlier today as well and I assisted him in finding the game in the system.

I had another copy of Killer 7 to trade in, but I let my friend go in line in front of me and the system completely went down. But I got Wolfenstein with that credit and they surprised me with another $10 gift card. Good luck to everyone else trying.
