Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

The guy at my Target almost wouldn't accept my Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon because the system showed this box art:

Thankfully I was able to convince him to do it, though he still had his reservations.

When trading in PS4 games or Vita games don't let them dock your price for not having a manual when those games don't have manuals in the first place.

Traded in a bunch of games and got $572.31. Guy just let me keep doing different transactions to beat the 3 game limit.

They did for me but it wasn't much.

Just got back from Target and they honored the prices for the games that I brought in yesterday. Now I just have to decide what to get with my giftcard!

Are there a bunch of older 360 games they just don't take? Had a bunch the guy said weren't in the system. Could only do 3 at this target so will hit up a different one later.

Well, did one last trade with my LBP 2 for Vita (I never play it. still lost money on the deal as I know I paid more for it than that but might as well get some money back) and bought Wolfenstein (managed to get a guy to sell me a preorder 2 days ago when I traded in some other games).

THe big score was that I knew I was going to get a 5 dollar gift card for pre ordering Wolfenstein, but for whatever reason apparently I also got a 10 dollar gift card for something (I was not about to argue it, she wants to give it to me, I'll gladly take it).

Looks like $146 for my lot. Will hold onto the card for E3, or Black Friday.

If Target somehow does a Titanfall bundle for $399 after the official drop, I'll jump on that.

Pro tip: After you get all separate gift cards, download the Target app on your phone and combine them all into one e-gift card. It can then be scanned at Target stores off your phone or used online!

Jeez.
Sunday's value for my games was $350
Yesterday's was $270
Today's is $300.
Do I bite or not? This really is like the stock market lol.

So hard to say the lady that did it for me in store checked one game and set it aside to do the others then she went back and it went from $4 total to $13 total. Not sure how or why it was so different in such a short amount of time.

I think this experiment by target is going to bite them in the ass since a lot of the games they are paying lots of wont sell for close to that price ever again. Even my mega man X collection on cube went for $30 when you can get the same games from the VC on WiiU for a lot less.

I'm pretty sure they expect to lose money on this deal. I think they're looking at it as a way to market whatever they're trying to market (I hear they are trying to bring awareness to their cellphone/mobile section. Though if true I think it was not good money spent as they really should have used something cellphone themed then rather than something not really related).

lol surprised everyone here is willingly to sell your ps4/xb1 games asap.

what are you gonna play then???

The PS4 games I got were pretty much gotten to have something play launch day. Killzone was less replayable than I thought (I did enjoy it the first time going through) and AC... well, I honestly am happy with just having one AC game and only got it cause I could get it near launch for 40 bux (Amazon having the PS3 version for 30+10 upgrade fee).

My Target gave me separate ones each transaction, but I'd imagine this is entirely dependent on the individual store and who you're dealing with.

Yep my guy added them all onto one card for me. He even checked the balance on the target POS for me

So, when I went to my Target, the Mobile associate told us that we could only use our Target credit in the Electronics section, and only right then and there; we couldn't get a card to save for later. Anyone else run into this issue?

When we said the website stated we could get a card, the lady more or less replied with "well, you could trade in the games and we could see, but there's no guarantee and we can't back out when we're at that point", so we didn't want to risk it. :(

I had to walk the dude at my store through the whole thing.

"Turn on the promotion first"

"no knack and DS2 don't come with manuals, how am I supposed to prove that?"

dude ending up calling some higher ups. Then he was like "yo im finna sell my games too man, had no idea"

Traded in PS4 lego marvel, metal gear v:gz and zelda ocarina of time 3DS. Just over 92 bucks. The sucky thing was, I had to use my all my credit then and there in the electonics dept. Something to do with Florida law and pawn shops.

Oh well. I bought Wolfenstien and Theif for the Xbox One. I am contemplating not opening Theif and returning it later.

Being this close to E3, I'd highly recommend waiting, unless that card is burning a hole in your pocket. :)

I hear ya. For some reason I'm just nervous about not finding another good deal on Xbox One's with the Kinect still attached, post E3. They're not discontinuing the sku are they?

I don't believe so, at least nothing that I have seen mentioned. Though my Target still has about five of the Titanfall bundle for $499, so I'm really hopeful that they do a clearance on those to make room for the new SKU.

If so, I'm jumping in. With my $146 credit and my redcard, the One would cost me $255. Unload Titanfall for $30 and the Kinect for $50, and its at $175 for the One. Not bad at all.

I did a trade in 30 mins ago and it was fine had to go to a diff target and it went down. All my stuff is traded but now I gotta wait for them to call me back to get my gift card

Get their name and report them to corporate. That's not how this deal works.

Are you in Florida? Apparently there is some sort of weird pawn rule there that I was reading about on CAG.
