- Added the Mann-conomy.
- Added 65 new items (hats, weapons, tools, minigames, gifts, crates).

- Added new auto-team-scramble system:
- Set mp_scrambleteams_auto to 1 (default) to automatically scramble the teams if the criteria is met

- Set mp_scrambleteams_auto_windifference to set the number of round wins a team must lead by in order to trigger an auto scramble (default is 2)​

- Updated how Spy disguise targets are selected to more randomly distribute the selections

- Fixed the FreezePanel background not using the correct color if you were killed by a player or building on your own team

- Server browser tweaks
- It will now encourage you to add servers to Favorites or Blacklists after you have a good/bad experience on them.

- The Server Browser now automatically closes after successfully connecting to a server (opt-out via the Options-Multiplayer->Advanced dialog)​

- Demoman achievement "The Stickening" changed to 3 from 5.

- Heavy achievement "Krazy Ivan" changed to 50 from 100.

- Medic achievement "Consultation" changed to 3 from 5.

- Medic achievement "Placebo Effect" changed to 2 from from 5.

- Medic achievement "FYI I am A Medic" changed to 1 from 5.

- Medic achievement "Family Practice" changed to 5 from 10.

- Soldier achievement "Geneva Contravention" changed to 3 from 5.

- Scout achievement "Strike Zone" now counts assists.

- Scout achievements "Fall Classic" and "Foul Territory" are fixed.​
 
"Profiting" through distribution of hats... An extension of the 3D model submission system for accessories? Might encourage me to break out Maya.

TBH, I've never really cared much about these cosmetic, non-gameplay-related changes. Now you can pay for them with $$$, big deal.
 
Set bonuses, really? Ugh. EDIT: And set... penalties? That's odd.

EDIT: Set bonus for sniper pack: Cannot be killed by headshots. :lol

A: No. Our plan is to continue updating TF2 just like we always have, adding free maps, game modes, new features, and more. The Mann Co. Store is simply an alternative way of obtaining items that other players can earn during gameplay.

Interesting, if you make something good enough for the game and valve approves, you can make a little green from it. Interesting concept.

Well yeah, I wasn't implying that I'm disappointed because it would be the only way to get your stuff - just that it isn't some form of in-game currency earned per kill or something.

Sounds great. The L4D Tank music should play as well when Saxton is near.
 
TF2 has given me a lot of value so far, the free updates have been great.

I give Valve my thanks for that. But I'm not buying anything. Set bonus requiring the hat is a bit stupid too.

You can trade them but not sell, you can buy items you do not have already with money but you can still find or craft them in traditional TF2 methods.

Except it's not Premium DLC. It's just another means to gain items that everyone gets for completing class milestones, find as drops or craft themselves. It's for all the whingers and idlers.

I'm a little disappointed that they added micro-transactions. I don't blame them though.

One thing is for sure, Valve is gonna make bank off of this.
