Team Ico Collection - New Promo Vids!

Can't wait. Now, armed with my 3D HDTV I can experience these games in glorious 3D (hopefully with no resolution drop).

I hope they offer an updated control scheme for SOTC. They fixed the frame-rate, but that awkward control scheme was the only other thing I didn't like of the game.

They're not going to change that. I'll admit the controls are unconventional, but if you can't get used to a new control scheme over the course of an 8-10 hour game, well, that's not their problem.

Dear game developers,

if PS2 games upscaled can manage to look nearly as good as full-fledged PS3 titles, maybe you all need to take a step back and do more conservative rendering, that relies more on the art rather than heaps of fugly shaders. Maybe then we would have more clean looking 1080p and 60fps titles, and less sub-HD abominations.

How many developers actually have artists as talented as those at Team ICO?

Sodding LOVE Shadow of The Colossus (one of my favourite games ever) and can't wait to play it at a half decent framerate

But more than that...I never got around to getting ICO, and i am shitting my pants in anticipation of finally getting to play it

This is why we need Team Silent to come back to do more Silent Hill as well. Silent Hill Downpour looks kind of hideous, especially when compared to Silent Hill 3. SH3 gives some current gen games a run for their money, especially in higher res on PC.

It's funny how GoW2 HD is better looking than 90% of PS3 games.

They really should have released it on PS3 to begin with.

So awesome, i never got a chance to play either of these two games. I can't wait! I don't even know much about the story.

Try to stop watching trailers for the collection from now on then. The 2 posted in the OP had some spoilers I'm afraid.

bu..bu..but I don't want to double dip :/

Maybe I should sell my PS2 versions now?

Keep them. But you'd be super crazy not to get the HD Collection version. I'm extremely excited for it.

Luckily i didn't watch the trailers in the OP :) I've only seen the trailers of these from their original release! I just saw that comparison image that was posted.

The entire Sly Collection as well. The cel-shading in it is better than any other half-assed attempt on PS3.

Can't wait to play through SOTC for a 3rd time, this time in HD and smooth framerate :)

And even though I bought a Mint UK special edition ICO in cardboard case and postcards, I still haven't played it, so I'll be going into ICO a virgin, can't wait :D

I'm shocked at how many people who've played SoTC never even thought to play ICO.
Personally, I'll play any game that even looks like it could have been influenced by Team Ico.

The sales of ICO reflect that. It didn't sell well while SoTC sold quite a bit better. It's interest though since SoTC's hype was based on how much people loved ICO.

Man its gonna be so awesome playing through all 3 games in HD on the ps3. What a sweet marathon that shall be.

Also they seriously need to release some more TLG news.

SOTC: Available in every major retailer to this day.

ICO: By the time SOTC was released, played and praised, ICO was out of production. Not everyone eBays... ;)

In Europe at least Ico was re-released, with a platinum-like price.

Apparently this is the near-final US boxart (needs more logos to ruin it first). Not as bad as the original.

It'll have a 3D logo somewhere on the box.

Much better than the "placeholder".

I haven't played the Sly Collection, but Valkyria Chronicles is not half-assed.

>:(

September twenty-seventh, is the day my social life will die.

Does anyone know when the other HD collections are coming then? This year?

I'm pretty sure we've known this one for a while.

Controls were great.

BTW, glad it's not 60fps!

I actually agree with that a little bit, if you want a more cinematic feel.

As long as the frame-rate is rock solid 30, that's all I need.

As if that wasn’t enough reason to pick up this collection in September, I’m happy to announce that the disc will also come with some amazing bonus content. Packed in every new copy of the game will be a voucher for two XMB Dynamic Themes, one for ICO and one for Shadow of the Colossus. In addition, on the disc itself will be a ton of exclusive video content from ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian that fans won’t want to miss. We’re busy finalizing the videos as we speak, and will have more details to share next month.
