Teaser site opens for a RealStyle x tri-Ace game

You mean you don't get paid for all the anti-Vita comments you do? ;P

I'm not at all anti-Vita.
Truth is, I'd rather games go to Vita too so I can play them without buying hardware from multiple regions. But that won't stop me from speaking out against stupid things Sony does with the system.

I try to think I'm not too blinded by the light. I really think Sony should've moneyhatted some big title for Vita to announce prior to launch, but they haven't. I also don't like the memory card prices, and the fact that they're basically required. But I'm still going to buy them anyways... :(

Let's use this thread to talk about tri-Ace in general. It seems that after Star Ocean 4 and Resonance of Fate, they might have run into some publisher difficulties? They haven't worked on a single Square Enix published game since Star Ocean 4, and previously all their games were published by Square Enix.

SEx producer Yoshinori Yamagishi did say SO4 is his last game with tri-Ace, didn't he? I guess nobody was ever gonna replace him in that position to begin with, it actually was tri-Ace's last SEx published game.

SEx constantly publishing tri-Ace games was a relict of old Enix times anyway back when Enix used to support developers like Quintet this way until tri-Ace replaced them. I guess this would also explains tri-Ace's sudden departure from their slower "one game every two years" development schedule to a much more frantic one with plenty subcontracted companies involved to help speed up development.

The teaser site updated again. Now you can see a short peak behind the curtain as the cast are still "preparing" for the show.

What's that? Star Ocean?

tri-Ace trying desperately to get another HD project with any publisher by showing off their awesome internal engine in a tech demo.

So far it seems to have succeeded in landing them a PSP game, a 3DS game, and what is likely a social game.

Gotta keep the boat afloat.

This game is pretty bad. It probably wasn't worth the 2 minutes it took to make the Yahoo Japan account. :(

Eh.. everything that touches Mobage or Gree is usually garbage. Next time you'll know better and instead stop reading whatever it is as soon as you see any of those two companies' names.
