Tecmo's E3 lineup (New Wii game, SPRay)

There are tons of screenshots of Robocalypse and a trailer on IGN. It looks pretty good. They get a lot of enemies on screen and it looks like units are easy to tell apart. The maps look pretty large, but that could just be because you have such a small viewing area on the touch screen. The trailer kinda precariously straddles amusing and stupid.

I'm keeping an eye out, I want to know how the gameplay works.

Eko Software is a French developer. There's a list of their previous games on the website. Not all that promising as far as I can tell.

Yikes. Still, this may turn out well, I think some of the shots look decent and if it provides some nice platforming adventuring, then I'm all for it. But I'm not going to be particularly hopeful...

For some reason Robocalypse's pictures and videos won't load for me on IGN, but I hope that one is pretty cool. And of course, Tecmo Bowl = Fuck yes.

SPRAY™ (Wii / Holiday 2008)

Tecmo has signed an agreement with Eko Software for the exclusive North American publishing rights to SPRay, an action-adventure game developed for the Wii that features a unique gameplay mechanic involving the use of several liquids that are sprayed onto the game universe.
Sounds like a GAF thread for the announcement of an anticipated game.
Players will soak in the action in SPRay by playing a spirited Prince named
*crosses fingers*
Spraynard Kruger?
Damn.

SPRay's concept sounds pretty good, and the shots look decent (if not great), but Eko seems to be a pure shovelware developer. It's hard to be optimistic about this one.

^ gave me a TWW vibe.

A DS RTS? About time. I can't believe it's taken four years for someone to make one. Not a fan of the genre myself, but it just seems to obvious.

For some reason it reminds me of Kameo, except with crappier graphics and just a touch more originality due to spraying instead of transforming.

Spot on, I didn't even think of that until you mentioned it, but it definitely gives off a Rare/Kameo vibe.

My only concern is that the usage of the liquids for puzzles/action might tire out quickly, but I saw some cool applications in the trailer. If they can keep that up, this game looks like it could be very good.

Wow, gameplay definitely looks very promising.

Here's hoping they can polish up the graphics and perhaps redesign the main character a bit. Definitely one of the most generic looking protagonist.
