Teddie vs Morgana

Haha yeah! I was just super excited for P5 and Soejima drawing Opa Opa.

But to be clear I do like Morgana, but while Teddie could be annoying at times, usually it felt like he was just a child. Morgana is far more "normal" and is purposely mean which got tiring fast. Also him being smarter and more or less knowing about boundaries made the instances where he acts like a perv way creepier.

I'm also not a fan of how they made him a mascot just because, that was super disappointing.

I knew it was you! Ahhh haha I can understand the excitement xD I was also dissapointment with Morgana's character and actions during the game. Hopefully they tone down the next mascot character

Basically.

For the topic at hand though, it's hard for me to say. They're both kind of problematic for similar reasons, mostly being overly pervy and dragging scenes down with it, but hey, they try. Generally.

Morgana was a way better party member though. Pretty much never used Teddie.
 
Don't know much about Teddie but Morgana is pretty much the MVP in the group. Healing just about everyone saving my ass so many times. I also really like the character.

Teddie, easily.

All of P5's characters were underdeveloped, and Morgana's main character moment was
an outburst than didn't make sense for both him and Ryuji. His separation from the team never tracked.

Also Teddie is a shadow turned good, Morgana is a forgetful mystical aid. Teddie got the way cooler twist.

Plus, the bear puns are great, no matter how people try and make them out as polarizing.
 
Liked both, however Morgana more than Teddy. She (yes, for me Morgana is definitely a she with that voice, despite what the game wants me to believe) is more introspective, and does not have a weird alternative form.

After I was done with the game, I took my plush Morgana from the CE and acted out plot points. An effective way of coping with the loss of having no more P5 to play.

He's the physical representation of a supremely annoying game decision. Which is only there, to add some kind of replay value later in that by the end of the game for NG+ you can have more freedom and options. I dislike that immensely. Therefore I harbor a grudge against Morgana.
 
Teddie is great and I love his bear puns and humor in general. He's a fun source of comic relief.

However, he is frankly useless. Morgana has much more utility. Being able to turn into a cat bus for easy travel is incredible. Morgana is also a great character and has an admirable progression throughout the story. Him posing as the voice in your head that tells you what you can and can't do is a complete non-issue. Besides, some of things he says when you interact with things are pretty funny.

His interpretations of human behavior are cute.
 
Teddie is way better

Morgana is shamelessly derivative of Teddie and his character arc goes nowhere

Probably my single biggest disappointment with P5, character-wise
 
i never played p4 but i have played p5 and i can tell you that morgana is a pest. what an annoying little shit character
 
I like P4 much better than 5 and even I say Morgana is better. I didn't even mind him telling me to go to bed. I found that whole thing way too overblown.
 
Blasphemy.

Morgana is like a million times better than Teddy. His voice and character is way more appealing.

Plus, FREAKING CATBUS!!!

Yeah, that moment where (ending spoilers)

Instead of remaining in Tokyo with the gang he chooses to go to live with Joker truly felt earned. The rest of the team were friends, Morgana is your companion through the whole ordeal and while it's never shown you can almost feel the lenghty discussions they would have regarding their daily situation before going to bed
 
I prefer teddy mostly because I feel that Morgana always being with you and commenting on every little thing you do undermines player agency.

I agree with this somewhat. Some of the things he says when you're interacting with things in the overworld are charming, but in other instances when you're just trying to get simple things done, like playing a video game, it's just more uninteresting text to skip through.

EDIT: Ugh. I'm really sorry for the double post. I overestimated how fast the thread was moving.
 
What's even Teddie's deal as
a Shadow? Shadows are repressed or subconscious aspects of a personality. Instead, Teddie is a conscious individual with his own personality.
 
Honestly I found both of them pretty annoying. Morgana commenting about every single thing and how it is important for the phantom thieves felt like he was micromanaging you at every step. I like his moveset tho.

Teddie hitting on everyone was just really weird since the joke runs its' course far before he stops doing it, neither his Japanese nor English voice do the characters any favors and it feels like the story could have been told more or less without him. I like his puns tho.

All in all, I'd say my vote goes to Koromaru.
