The 1st half of Season 2 was better and more enjoyable for me than Season 1 so I'm hoping they keep the quality up. Yes, I rated some episodes below a 7, I know, but I'm not a person who's easily impressed, some episodes are unimpressive, boring or just stupid in general. Thankfully it's not as common in Season 2.
I rarely ever give 9s because to get that, they have to do something beyond just being a fun episode. The reason "The Good, The Bad and Casey Jones" got a 9 was because along with amazing action, pacing, humor and story it actually developed both Ralph and Casey a lot as it went that extra mile to be more than just a fun episode, one that tries to do the overall package very well.
As for my thoughts on the ones I just watched, well:
Fungus Humungous was a fun episode, but nothing special or amazing, though the life lesson thing was done well.
Metalhead Rewired was ruined by Mikey's stupidity as he was back to be extremely annoying sadly but other than that it was a fine episode and the ending was actually sad.
Of Rats and Men was a blast, seriously, why is the Rat King so awesome? He's like one of the best villains in the entire show.
Wormquake part 1 was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary but done well enough, TMNT 1987 part was great.
Wormquake part 2 was more fun and tense than the 1st part, and the nod to the TMNT 1987 show like the 1st part was awesome, overall it's one of the best of the season.
Here's to more TMNT 2012 starting April 27th!
