Just saw "The Kraang Conspiracy", coming off the previous episode, this episode was pretty lame as the humor was pretty bad, it got more and more ridiculous for the wrong reasons as it progressed and April Derp was just awful. Not really a fan of this episode at all, I hope the next episode is better.

Just watched Fungus Humungous, which is the next one. And I thought it was a lot of fun.

Watched the 2-parter with two parallel stories.

The space worms-thing and the whole Karai/Leo/Splinter/Tiger Claw stand-off sometimes those parallel stories didn't quite mesh well.

Karai's major character development was important to advance the story and cutting away to giant space worms just felt a bit awkward.

I grew up on the 80's cartoon, but not having seen an episode in almost 20yrs I forgot how awful the dialogue was...

I had to actually find an episode on youtube to see how good the voices held up their 2014 cameo, and it was really good.

COWABUNGA!!!

Great episode. The action was great and the nod to The 80's cartoon was soooo good. Tiger Claw was amazing and Splinter just handled him like he was nothing.

Ok, wtf was April's ringtone when Casey called??? I can actually hum the whole song, but I can't for the life of me figure out what NES game it's from.

EDIT - HOLY SHIT I GOT IT!!! IT'S MOTHER FUCKING ICE HOCKEY!!!! OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!

I missed the first 10 minutes of the worm special but did they explain where Tiger Claw came from? Was he introduced in a previous episode I missed? Otherwise, great stuff. Loved the call back to the 80s series.

According to Shredder he was experimented on and trained by the Kraang from a very young age, turning him into one of their best assassins. I wonder if there's any relationship between him and Newtralizer.

Noticed this during my viewing as well. Ice Hockey is GOAT.

Poor Metalhead... he was truly a TMNT. I hadn't seen this episode so it was new to me :-) I think the next new one isn't until next weekend (03/30/14) or at least that's what my DVR guide suggests.

Man, this show and the toys! Toy time with my son (4yo) is so fucking awesome with the Turtles line. Thanks to TRU's 25% off all TMNT toys sale, We scored a Shredder, Squirrelanoid, Dog Pound and Casey Jones (which I had no idea existed until my wife found it).

We have just caught up with every episode. It was quite the experience watching the older shows in between episodes airing live. Once I saw Newtralizer, I needed his figure (...for my son). Coincidentally, he is part of the brand new line (with Casey and Rahzar but still no Karai).

So when can we likely expect the next episode? Will it be season 3 already?

Not sure when the next episode will be, but "Wormquake" was episodes 13 and 14 of a 26 episode season. This is by no means a season finale. Just a mid season break.

When is the new episode out? This weekend?

We are at season break ... last time it took some months to come back =/

How is this the mid-season break? There was a 2 month break between S2E7 and S2E8... I sure hope they do not leave us hanging for more than a couple of weeks.

Where were toys of that fucking quality when I was a kid.
Transformers and some of the larger GI Joes had good articulation.

These toys can cost anywhere from $15-60 and upwards. Not to mention since it's Revoltech you might have to import them. :P

Figuarts made some rad Zelda and Power Rangers anniversary figures. I can't afford them though

It's official. those toys are revoltechs.

Can't wait to buy them :)

WAY WAY better than the efforts by Playmates.

I really, really want these!

BTW, I was at the LEGO store at Legoland Florida yesterday, and they had a few new Lego sets I hadn't seen yet. Was really tempted to pick them up. One was a small one with Leo and Karai, there was one with Raph (with a gas mask or rebreather?), Spider Bytes (before and after) and a mutation chamber, and a new set called "T-rawket" with Space(?) Donnie and Mikey, Mutated Mr. O'neil and a Kraang. If I wasn't broke I would've bought them all.

The 1st half of Season 2 was better and more enjoyable for me than Season 1 so I'm hoping they keep the quality up. Yes, I rated some episodes below a 7, I know, but I'm not a person who's easily impressed, some episodes are unimpressive, boring or just stupid in general. Thankfully it's not as common in Season 2.

I rarely ever give 9s because to get that, they have to do something beyond just being a fun episode. The reason "The Good, The Bad and Casey Jones" got a 9 was because along with amazing action, pacing, humor and story it actually developed both Ralph and Casey a lot as it went that extra mile to be more than just a fun episode, one that tries to do the overall package very well.

As for my thoughts on the ones I just watched, well:

Fungus Humungous was a fun episode, but nothing special or amazing, though the life lesson thing was done well.

Metalhead Rewired was ruined by Mikey's stupidity as he was back to be extremely annoying sadly but other than that it was a fine episode and the ending was actually sad.

Of Rats and Men was a blast, seriously, why is the Rat King so awesome? He's like one of the best villains in the entire show.

Wormquake part 1 was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary but done well enough, TMNT 1987 part was great.

Wormquake part 2 was more fun and tense than the 1st part, and the nod to the TMNT 1987 show like the 1st part was awesome, overall it's one of the best of the season.

Here's to more TMNT 2012 starting April 27th!

I just wish they'd have a sale on the TV season "volumes" on iTunes. I snagged volume 1 for $14.99 a month or so ago, but I've yet to see 2 or 3 go below $25. I'm not saying they aren't worth it, I just have this thing about spending a lot on digital media... DRM and delisting has burned me a few times. :(

Ours were better than these anorexic turtles with no muscles.

Well, I like Nick Turtles the best. :P

You know, I've no idea how much toys cost back when I was a kid. :P
