Lotus Blossom is probably a shoe-in for player character DLC, especially as people are requesting Karai and she's basically her 87 cartoon expy.
Mona Lisa would work in this regard as well.
And while less likely, the time traveller duo, the male Landor and female Merrik, from the Red Sky seasons, were able to go toe-to-toe with the otherwise Gary-Stu-esque Carter, so Merrik may be viable candidate as well, though she and Landor are so closely tied together they'd almost have to both be included simultaneously.

If they extend to the Archie Comics which were based a good bit on the 87 cartoon, Ninjara is also a possibility.

If they consider The Next Mutation canon to the 87 cartoon, Venus De Milo may be a possibility. But considering Shredder's fate in that show would make his role here impossible, this is almost certainly not the case (And the fans probably prefer she be gone).

I knew this game would be super fun when it was first announced and I just sort of forgot about it. I was really excited for the Cowabunga Collection and this game came out at the perfect time. I've beaten arcade and story mode solo. Might hop online and mess around a bit for some achievements. Just replaying stages over and over with different characters is a lot of fun. Before I know it I've played through half of story mode again with a different turtle.

It doesn't really make sense though, since Shredder is basically deader than dead in the 2nd film, with no apparent explanation for his presence in the first episode or so. Even if he came out of that alive, he'd still be mutated. Of course, it being the 87 cartoon Shredder would obviously lead to the obvious question "Where's Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady?" so that's it's own can of worms, but this is the same show that had April absent for it's entire run, so...

He was deader than dead in the 1st film too & he wasn't a super mutant back then. Of course Super Shredder could bounce back from a few planks of wood falling on him. Granted how he reverted to regular is a mystery as well.

I played with a friend last week and we almost beat arcade mode and after which my hands were pretty tired from using my Xbox controller. Then it hit me, why wasn't I using my arcade stick for this.

I always see people gravitating toward Donatelo which I always found interesting for some reason. I thought Michelangelo would easily be the most popular because hes such a time capsule of what was a ‘cool’ character in the 80s/90s
As a kid I viewed myself as relating to Donnie more. I wasn't the leader, hothead or party dude.
Game looks cool.

Game is great. I enjoyed it a lot and will replay it often.

In my opinion, two things are missing :
- scanlines option
- comics colors for the turtles option (not all the same green)

It's so awesome to read all the good impressions of this game here. Pure love :messenger_heart: The Ninja Turtles were by far my favorite cartoons at one point in my childhood, and then all those classic beat 'em ups were releasing on the NES, SNES, and Genesis at around the same time. (Can't wait for the Cowabunga Collection!)

But this game, and SOR4, shows that there's a place and a market for a well-made, retro-inspired beat 'em up. Developers and publishers... take note.

Megaton game for me. I also missed the color option which was actually called comic colors in the game option screen, that's why it's being called that here lol. Not only did it look bad ass, but it helped differentiate everyone on the screen with a different shade of green. I hope they make an update with a bunch of changes after the inevitable deluge of fan feedback.

damn this game looks fun as hell. they nailed the old arcade feel. looks straight out of the 90s. now we need a good xmen game like that one in the arcade that you could ever get on bc it was so popular! lol. but done by these guys bc they look like they got the goods

Rather bafflingly, the "Choujin Densetsu Hen" April is almost as conservatively buttoned up as Shredder's Revenge April. (This is the same OVA which has a busty villainess who has notable jiggle physics, so it's not like the animators were averse to perving, either.)

I had some weird thing where the game was running slow. I restarted the PC and it was fine. I guess I had some processes that needed to die.

Is april overpowered in this game. Like I seem to blast through the last half of my playthrough with her. Got to admit using her made the game a lot more enjoyable though.

The game was fine. I played through it on easy with my two kids. It was fun, but for me as absolutely no replay value. Glad it was included in Game Pass. Perfect game for Game Pass!
 
overall I like this game. It really reminds me of the days playing Turtles in Time and the game does reference it alot.

The being said, there a couple of odd combat choices.
- taunting fills up the super meter. I don't know they thought it's a good idea because this is broken in multiplayer where you can have 1 person take aggro while others taunt to build meter. Basically you can chain supers for free.
- you can get hit while throwing someone. This is pretty dumb since you can't cancel the throw so your are forced to take damage.

The entire series of Turtles games are about getting better and replaying them.

1989's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for arcades was a coin-op colossus for Konami. Arriving as the popularity of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's radical reptiles was reaching its peak, the thirst for the original TMNT cabinet was so great Konami couldn't even keep up with the demand. With additional production outsourced, tens of thousands of TMNT cabinets were ultimately sold worldwide - and it would go on to become Konami's highest-grossing arcade game ever. In 1991, Konami found success again with the fondly-remembered follow-up Turtles in Time, which improved on the formula and is still largely considered the most-legendary TMNT game of all.

Three decades and several reboots later, Montreal-based studio Tribute Games has taken the turtles back to where they began with Shredder's Revenge - a spiritual sequel to Konami's stone-cold arcade classics. Shredder's Revenge is proof positive that there's no school like the old-school - but assembling a brand-new brawler in the shadow of two of the biggest and best beat 'em ups ever built is no trivial task. To find out how Tribute Games pulled this off we talked to narrative designer Yannick Belzil about what it took to contemporise the classic coin-op characteristics of the original TMNT games, and the challenges of returning to the 1987 animated universe. We also analysed the level Crisis at Coney Island and its flawless fusion of retro tropes and modern flourishes, all in a setting that pays perfect tribute to the earliest roots of the beat 'em up genre in the iconic 1979 cult film The Warriors.

Played the first stage tried all the moves at the beginning of stage 2. Really cool and you really need to be in synch with the moves and context to not get hit.

Easy to play, hard(?) to master. Also knowing when enemies and which type spawn.

Great first impressions. Awesome even!

Just not in the right headspace at the moment to dedicate myself. It'll come. I think it's worth it
