I didn't even see the reactions at first, so afterwards when I did, I was kind of confused. People are really overblowing the voice over and it's bothering them so much that they cannot take in the awesome atmosphere the trailer was going for. Sure it didn't have any fighting, and I'm not too big on Tekken's story, but if I saw that at e3 it'd definitely be game of the show for me.

A trailer with no fighting or gameplay and horrifyingly bad voice acting would make it the game of the show for you? They could have used sock puppets to re-enact the trailer at the panel and saved us all some time. It would have been more entertaining and only slightly less professional.

Does Tekken even need a story?

Many games doesn't need a story, but I'm incredibly glad it's there.

For a fighting game i'd say it's halv decent.

this stuff really doesnt matter, harada already said they will speak in their native languages in the game

I do. Tekken honestly has one of the better storylines out of its genre.

I should learn to ignore neogaf reactions. Reading all the negative on my phone got me thinking the CG trailer would be terrible. It's not. Trailer was AMAZING.

If you hate the English dub so much, just wait for the Japanese version to be uploaded on Namco's youtube channel.

Also, why has no one pointed this out from the trailer yet. It's Devil Kazumi most likely. GET HYPE!!!!!

By the way, Kazumi claim that Heihachi is stronger than her (we see her Devil form) and Jinpachi so story wise Heihachi is stronger than almost everybody except Jin?

I'm thinking this is setting up for a time skip. Will probably take the more notable characters with recent story development (Jin, Lars) and age them along with some fan favorites (Hwoarang). My concern with this is how it would affect female characters as it seems like in fighting games with any women past the age of 30 tend to be replaced by younger character with a similar moveset, unless Harada says fuck it and sends all of them to the cryo a la Nina & Anna. :lol
