Why wouldn't Jun return?

With Tekken's story, she can easily get back and fit into a storyline.

She's also extremely popular based on the requests up to the launch of Tag 2.

Based on that one guys interview, it seems it'll be solo yeah.
But Harada-san also talked about, wanting to keep the Tag system, even in numbered releases.

Those tweets show up on every developer's page when it comes to requesting characters. It's silly for some fans to go to that level, but the majority of the posts that I myself saw were pretty chill.

And put that hostility in your back pocket. :lol

Jun would just kind of either be there, which is fine, I like her but she wouldn't do anything. Or be the biggest devil ex machina ( heh ) that ever existed ever. Completely dumping on everything that has happened between her baby dad and her son since tekken2. I would rather them dudes rot in their own stupidity rather than have mama fix all their problems.

Thats just me though.

I really like jun, but I really don't want her back. Unless they just start throwing characters in there like sf does , that have no relationship to any story and it is questionable if its even canon they are there.

edit: then again, her magical fix could be that reboot you all want.

Gon Tekken 3 ending was beautiful.

Heihachi's Tekken 5 ending I think is the most iconic. Sending his father, son, and grandson off into space, lol.

Or Lee's "Two Fingers."

Kazuya can in Tag 2.

They wont do it with Jin and Devil Jin since their movelists are completely different from each other.

For Kazuya and Devil Kaz, there are only a few movelist changes.

I want like jin to devil Jin mid combo transformation type stuff.

Edit: It would be interesting if angel came back into play in tekken 7 for kaz or something. Maybe that's why he is able to control the satan. I refuse to call him " devil Gene " because " the satan " is funnier.

I thought Lars was pretty popular. He made it pretty far in that official popularity contest they held when Tekken 6 first hit consoles. I think people hate him because they've gotten steam rolled by him.

You are very hostile... For fuck sake, Harada himself asked the community to show their support for Jun if they wanted her back, teasing that she would be back if he gets a lot of tweets and followers about it.

Agreed, especially when Jun &/or Michelle themselves aren't exactly very popular in Japan. It's the west that were pushing Harada to bring them back.

Then he asked them to calm down when she was announced and they still didn't. He still gets bring back Jun tweets. That's how ridiculous this situation is.

Years and years of Jun fans shitting up TZ with awfully written posts with nothing to contribute other than fanboyism and then spamming it all over Twitter does make me hostile. She's not a popular competitive choice and judging by Tekken-Net it seems Asuka's still picked more anyway so it's not like she's even the favorite character for that particular fighting style. After 10~ years of a vocal minority derailing things in the name of their favorite character, I have become one salty bastard. She's back. You got her. Time to move on.

Ok I have to agree that it was retarded to keep going once she was back, I wasn't aware of that and understand the annoyance. Please don't put all of the fans of Jun in the same basket! :)

I myself use Asuka as much as Jun even if she's back. Asuka grew on me a lot during Jun's absence, can't abandon her now. At least I stayed within the family!

Agreed. I don't see what the uproar talk about the story. Who gives a damn. Unless we're getting like Mortal Kombat quality story, then I'm all in for the gameplay and DORRRRRAAAA's!
 
Finally a new Tekken.

I hated TTT2 as someone invested in the game and really hope they go back to classic one on one focused gameplay with a reduced emphasis on gimmicks and combos.

Hope this will be a fleshed out reveal with some character reveals.

Please please no Tag.TTT2 completely broke the Tekken love in me.
 
Thanks for all the responses! Really antsy to see what the announcement is, and if it really is T7, for a (hopefully) short gameplay snippet.

It's a number of things, mainly him being appointed as the new 'poster boy' for the series and looking like a cosplayer. Then again T5-6 had some horrible character designs (namely Bob, Lars, Alisa, Lili).

I personally don't mind tag or bounds.. I hope the roster isn't too ridiculous and yes I'd like 1 on 1 in the mainline Tekken games..
 
I pray Anna makes it into the cast.

I have an inkling she'll skip, being a less popular female character.My favorite character by far.
