“But currently the situation is with fighting games, you have Street Fighter V that just released–a lot of people are playing that fervently"
Didn't Namco developed that one? I think the director and producers of that game have worked on previous Tekken and/or Soul Calibur games.I believe they had little to do with it outside of overseeing stuff
It's a big hit in the FGC. So from that standpoint, they aren't wrong. That's funny. Tell another one.
But, yeah just cancel it already. Nobody's here for it at this point, ya done waited too long.
Tekken sorely needs a reboot.
Tekken 7 is probably gonna get more SF characters as DLC and that'll be the end of it.
Make Soul Calbur 6 instead please

Exactly.
SFV didn't sell well?
Capcom wanted 2 million by the end of last month and while I haven't been keeping up to tell if the numbers are updated, it'll be lucky to have cracked 500k.
Capcom goofed HARD.
I highly doubt they'll cancel it. It sounds like the game is pretty much finished, but that they're waiting for the right time to release it. Honestly, it's kind of a problem. Street Fighter V just came out, and Tekken 7 is coming soon. They might as well let it sit for a year or two and then release it.

Street Fighter games usually start with small rosters, so it should be no surprise that SFV started small as well.Honestly they got what they deserved, 16 character launch with very limited content, average netcode, and connecting to their servers to match up with an opponent can take forever even PS1 load times weren't this bad, you release a lemon expect shit sales..

This, though I don't think they finished the game. It's likely that Tekken 7, Pokkén Tournament, & Smash 4 took up much of their time.I highly doubt they'll cancel it. I mean, I wouldn't bother releasing this either given how Street Fighter V sold, and that Street Fighter x Tekken did a lot worse than either Street Fighter or Tekken in the first place.
People want the opportunity to roast Street Fighter V.That's what Harada said by saying something completely different.
You don't just spend tens of millions of dollars on something just to sit on it after completion. I'm no businessman, but that just seems like a horrible waste of money for video games.I highly doubt they'll cancel it. It actually has fantastic netcode, but without changeable frame delay before a fight rollbacks can become a larger issue then they should be. Standard GGPO and Skullgirls already allow the frame delay to be changed before a fight, so they should apply that fix to SFV.Honestly they got what they deserved, 16 character launch with very limited content, average netcode, and connecting to their servers to match up with an opponent can take forever even PS1 load times weren't this bad, you release a lemon expect shit sales..
