TF2 Engineer update incoming?

This was a damn cool update but we already know one of the weapons. The Golden Wrench.

What are the other 2? Life extending Machine and something else? Isn't that just a dispenser?

Golden Wrench (like the soldier medal) is most likely promotional; it's no different from the normal wrench except people turn gold when killed with it.

I love these comics. I really dig the fact that they're expanding on the world of TF. If this were any other game, they'd probably just leave it as it was when it first came out. All this new content and information just adds soooo much more personality to the game (which had it in spades).

I hope one day we'll see these comics as a regular series, and not just a part of any update they have. Just for the hell of it.

Blutarch and Redmond. Fucking Valve.:lol
That was actually revealed in the Halloween update last year.

Their father lost most of his money because the two sons invested it all in vast gravelpits... only to reveal that they held nothing but fool's gravel.

Your association with this was admittedly more fun when ALL you played was engineer. :lol

It's a good thing I'm not the type of jerk to set max engineers to 1 on the server on E-Day. :oP

No, I don't think we do. Golden Wrench looks more like a freebie give-away similar to the Ghastly Gibus and the Soldier's Medal, since the only thing it appears to be doing differently than the normal one, is turn enemies into solid gold corpses.

Also: Final page. Second panel. The front page of the blueprints document the times it was built.

There are *three* entries.

I would suggest it's The Announcer, but whenever we've seen her she's been, well, reliably alive.

I saw that, too. But wasn't there something else that hinted there's a third brother? I seem to recall a letter in the Halloween series that was ripped at the end as it started something along those lines...

Crap, now I need to go scouring all their past comics...

EDIT: Wow, that was quick:

Towards the end, there's the secret last benefactor. He's the one who got third life extender. Could still be The Announcer, I guess...

EDIT 2: Right, one more:

So yeah, definitely not the announcer. Probably will be leader of the green team when Valve things the time is right...

Nice! Michael Avon Oeming (the guy that does these comics) is great.

Can't wait for the update. I hope that golden wrench is a ghastly gibus style item.

I want a TF2 everything. Comics, movies, shows, and some affordable figures.
Some 6" collectible figures would be amazing, long as I could buy them in the UK without having to pay £35+ for shipping.

Sometimes I wonder if Saxon Hale is going to be the silly rumoured 10th class :lol it would work so well.

Expert in melee, uses a revolver, summons wild animals on people :lol

Figures are being made.

12", and bloody expensive.

In this comic, the Announcer is called Emily, whereas in the Halloween testament she was called Elizabeth (weird they'd make the mistake, since the mayor says the exact same sentences as the ones written in the testament).

Elizabeth suits her so well.

Elizabeth suits her so well.
And in the Demoman vs. Soldier war, Saxton Hale calls her Helen.

I'd love to know how a Not Dying Machine would be different from a dispenser. Maybe increased health regen/Uber but with no ammo regen capability?

What eqp slot would it take up? All the buildings are mapped to one weapon.

Saxton Hale would be the third team. On his own.

Like Solid Snake in MGS Online? Having a solo third team would be kinda awesome.

probably a new pda slot; the real question is if the new buildings will be mix and match. (assuming he gets new buildings)

I think if I hadn't just built a brand new tower and purchased a 52" lcd hdtv, I would buy that Heavy statue.
So expensive... I think I'll just wait for my favorite class and get that one.

Maybe it's like a paddle that the engineer can use to shock dead people back to life before they respawn.

Once this last class update is out, they can finally start working on TF 3. :D :D :D
Why? They pretty much have the new Counter Strike in a lot of ways going, but it's quite a bit more friendly to play and colorful. It's still the best choice to help push Steam and PC(Still looks absolutely fantastic and runs well on most machines in the past 5 years or so). Longer they support it, the better chance it has to dig in.

TF2= Steam's loss leader.

And Portal for free for two weeks, and these huge Summer/Christmas sales.

But yeah, I don't see a big rush to work on TF3 as long as TF2 is an active project. Especially since it's arguably aesthetically complete and really doesn't need a sequel.

No, it's not just lacking Valve's personality and humor. I like the style and characters in Lead and Gold though they don't really say much.

It also doesn't have as many classes, items, weapons, etc.

SO, NOT FIXED >:(
