I haven't seen that, but I notice a lot of screen tearing sometimes. Haven't seen it so bad in a 360 game since PDZ.ergo said:Is there graphical glitches that occur sometimes?

That's true. It's so dangerous to run out after them though.Neverender said:Eh, I find there are usually enough packs on the ground from other dead players for me to swap whenever I need to.

...The infantry combat of Bad Company in general was sub-par. Better Battlefield games, like 1942 and BF2, had tanks that were very dangerous in the hands of a skilled player. Every vehicle in 1943 is dangerous in the hands of a skilled player, and that's the way it should be.

You can choose to respawn nearby your squad members and there are some points and postcards to get through certain squad actions. I think voice chat is tied to your squad, too. What's the use of the Squads and why nobody uses them?
Yes, that's right. You don't have to worry about ammo, but you have to strategically reload your weapons.I felt like I had infinite ammo but some have a cooldown, is that right?
The infantry can.I *think*I saw a wrench sign on a vehicle, can you repair them?

Mostly because people didn't pay attention, I mean if you hear a jet fly overhead get the hell out of the tank and ruuuuuunAsmodai said:Tanks in Bad Company were suicidal deathtraps that no decent player used.
Yeah, it's annoying when it happens. This game has some really odd glitches.Kibbles said:^ Yeah I know what you are talking about. It happens once in a while, not every game, but every so often.
I feel you are very wrong on this. I get kills with tanks all the time, and I'm a pretty decent player in Bad Company, and I'd see people use them all the time.Asmodai said:Tanks in Bad Company were suicidal deathtraps that no decent player used.

I finally got to 1,000 points in a game, but I can't seem to get 20 kills. The best I can do is the 17-19 range and then the match ends...

I still haven't hit 1k points in a game. Even in games where I had 27 kills. What's your secret?

That's what I get. I'm thinking about just staying in Village the whole time on Guadacanal and get Defensive bonus points for each kill. I dunno. The game I had 27 kills I was still in the 800s.

Yeah its pretty easy to rack up kills on Guadacanal. I hit 1000k sometime last week (havent played 1943 all weekend, though), the most kills i've had in one match was 35, and it was indeed on Guadacanal.BerserkerBarage said:Let the other team take Ridge on Guadacanal, and then spawn camp the ever-living piss out of them. Personally, I don't think it's that the AA is overpowered, it's that the planes don't have enough health. From my experience in flying a plane, it's really easy to get killed (compared to killing other airplanes for me:lol ). When I'm in an AA turret, I don't think it's that easy to take down a plane. I've only done it once or twice.Spl1nter said:I find the AA in the game overpowered. Its so easy to take down a plane with AA.

Spl1nter said:I think that they just are able to destroy planes to quickly. I can jump in an AA turret as a plane passes overhead and take it down in 3 shots. The time is takes is just to fast as a pilot has no time to even try to escape in some situations.
Spl1nter said:Just wondering how well everyone else is doing with the planes. I have been able to break the 20 kill mark a few times just flying and went a round 23-0 on iwo jima.
I find the AA in the game overpowered. Its so easy to take down a plane with AA. Also I find the bombs a bit annoying. They destroy anything they directly hit but if you slightly miss a jeep which has full health it wont be destroyed which is pretty annoying. Otherwise strafing runs for infantry and bombs for tanks.
Compared to BF1942 the planes are weaksauce. Those bombs were the end all be all and the guns even seemed a bit stronger. Not to mention those planes where more agile.
I've never been in that position before, so I can't say. Maybe I just suck with taking down planes.Spl1nter said:I think that they just are able to destroy planes to quickly. I like them in Air Superiority. I like that it's really easy to wreak havoc on an enemy carrier, until they put a guy on the AA gun. It turns the tables quickly, and stops the action centering on one small part of the map. Back to the middle, capture the flag, rinse and repeat.Spl1nter said:I think that they just are able to destroy planes to quickly. tanks in BC are deadly! as people have already pointed out in this very thread, their cannon ammo does more splash than 1943 and the gunner is more protected

Defend more and let the "crap" players capture the flags.Aesius said:Also, I always, always, always seem to get stuck on crap teams. I played 5 games earlier and lost them all. It's usually me and another dude with 400-500 points at the end - mostly from capturing flags - while everyone else runs around on foot and gets mowed down. Seems like a lot of people just want to fly the planes and have no idea what to do with them. Or just try to run around and kill people - again, usually on foot.
The game also seems to enjoy placing me on teams of <10, versus a full squad of 12.
the only comparison i was discussing was between 43 and BC.Asmodai said:Without a co-axial machine gun, tanks were nowhere near as deadly in BC as they were in previous Battlefield games.
Did you ever play Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, or especially the Desert Combat mod for BF1942?
Experienced tank players in Battlefield 2 and Desert Combat would have over 100 kills in a game and maybe 2 deaths. If you were good with them, you could kill infantry at a range way beyond their anti tank weaponry range with the co axial guns, and the main gun could take out any other vehicles, including attack helicopters and ground attack fixed wing aircraft.
Yeah, they could be used well in Bad Company, but they were still underpowered for the fact that they were tanks. Tanks without a co-axial machine gun for the driver are a joke. Hell, the LAV-25s and Bradleys in Battlefield 2 were more dangerous than the main battle tanks in Bad Company.
Historically, whenever a military has tried to field a tank, or a tank destroyer, without a coaxial gun, the inevitable result is that it gets blown up easily by infantry in the battlefield because they can just run up and plant explosives on the thing.
But then again, Bad Company was just weird all around. I'm glad DICE has come about since then. COD4's influence probably helped a lot.
Ironically, the only enemies I've ever actually killed in 1943 with bombs were guys on anti aircraft guns, since I know their position and they aren't moving. If they're shooting at something else, I just come from behind and nail them.

yeah, those guns are awesome. sometimes at the start of a game on wake island, the squad i'm in will take a craft and cut across towards the enemy creafts abd gun them down.Asmodai said:Any of you guys tried the MG mounted on the landing craft or in bunkers? We literally saw it for a half second in the scope before it passed behind some trees - he aimed about a full screen in front of it and fired blindly - then the kill confirmation popped up. Headshot!
He ran out of the room screaming and I was on the floor laughing.
He's got 500+ hours of COD4 played and claims it's the best thing he's ever done in a FPS - it's certainly the best I've ever seen in person. Speechless.
