The Borg Queen Cast for Star Trek: Picard Season 2

Wersching will recur as the Borg Queen. Alice Krige played the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact and VOY: Endgame. Susanna Thompson also took on the character in Star Trek: Voyager.

So Season 2 will have Q and the Borg.

Stewart invited Whoopie on to Season 2 right when Season 1 premiered, so probably Guinen as well.

Its obvious they realise how shit season 1 was so they're pulling out all the fan favourite cards.

Q etc.

Expectations are super low.
They couldn't just leave the Borg Queen dead at Voyager? (the one thing the show did right with the Borg, since the whole Queen concept is what ruined them to begin with)

Yeah, this next season is definitely going to be as shit as the first. Like Star Wars, here's another franchise that Hollywood is gleefully tarnishing retroactively.

Resistance is so tiresome

Admiral Janeway will go back in time to kill the Borg Queen. Q tests humanity by offering the writers 100 trillion dollars to stop at season 2. Worf and Guinan are sent by Kirk from another timeline to arrest Q for being a space racist. Q does black face and a poncho and tells everybody to fuck off. Q's son, Q, kills Q. Geordi returns with a visor to hunt down the Borg Queen. Gosling and Fassebender are multiverse Datas who now have to kill Wesley who is actually Khan. Janeway is actually the half sister of Borg Queen and doesn't kill her.

Liked it more than Discovery.

Icheb's cameo was awesome.

Borg cube go boom.

Seven had some good scenes. She's easy for anyone to watch.

Only watched the show through once though and wasn't paying close attention.

Romulans were too human, not green blooded enough.

That admiral...right...

still android race.

Caught a hint of V'ger.
I want V'ger.

I'll watch it.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Maybe he really hated the character and liked seeing his torture. :p
Icheb was played in Picard S1 not by his original Voyager actor, Manu Intiraymi, but by Casey King.

Manu desperately wanted to be part of the Star Trek universe and even stared in the "fan film" Star Trek: Renegades alongside veterans Tim Russ and Walter Koenig. He wasn't asked back for Picard because he got brigaded on Twitter for being racist. His on-screen torture/death in the show was definitely put there for symbolic political reasons and also a giant "fuck you" to Manu personally.

The character's "cameo" was anything but awesome.

Bad show is bad. It isn’t Star Trek it is bad political commentary wrapped in a familiar veneer.
Star Trek has always had political commentary . Lots thought it was bad. Legitimately they were correct. Even got cancelled.

The difference I see between the Star Trek shows I like (Original and VOY) there was more connection to the human condition in those series. Philosophy involved. Even in the other shows that I didn't ever connect with like Picard's Enterprise crew or DS9 outside a couple characters. Lots of politics there. Maybe veiled better. There's been a terrible trend in media in the last 20 years to hit every beat really hard and explain stuff that would be better inferred. Could be contributing to the political commentary presentation contributing to bad and not just disagreement with difficult policy divides. At least with Janeway there's room to debate if what she did was right or wrong in the microcosm to the moral bigger picture with political conundrums in the Voyager stories. Objectified and not dwelt upon. Episodic benefit. Could also have been a benefit of the times the series took place too.

Thought Picard handled what I picked up well enough. It's still early in development. Discovery. Now THAT was really heavy handed from politics to explaining details.

Didn't know about that and try not to follow that meta stuff with opinion in story.

Thought it was good motivation for the Seven and establish the depravity of the antagonists.

Picard looks so old I can't take it seriously for some reason.
He's waaaaay past the point where this would have worked for him. It's actually kinda poor timing because iirc in the mid 2010's he was still pretty spry and active looking. But in a couple of years he just seemed to quickly deteriorate and look super old and frail and where even his voice has become this very weak sounding presence.

I hope Red Letter Media does a review this time. Can't believe I hate-watched Discovery S3 only to be let down.

Ichebs cameo????

What cameo? The one where they hired a different actor to completely kill off this kind character?

Because of some political shit he said?

Fuck everyone working on this absolute trash

Not for anything political the character said. Didn't even notice. Did something political the character said get you all worked up?

The unexpected shock of the scene was part of it. Don't see stuff that rough in Star Trek often. Missing limbs and stuff with the Borg in VOY. Corpses and wisps of decaying corpses on strange moons of ringed planets. Bugs in ears. Set some tone for the series. Characters will die. Also established motivation and character traits. Hinted at more Voyager crew incoming.

Political commentary in Star Trek? You don't say.

This. Anyone who wants to make the complaint that Picard is bad because it's 'too political' clearly has never bloody watched Star Trek.

The issue isn't that it tackles politically sensitive topics, the issue is that Picard is written very, very badly when it does it.

a story about an elderly man who doesn't fit into the world, following a popular time in his distant past, fumbling through a hostile climate. trying to deal with various factions seeking to destroy everything, plenty of political allegories to be made there

and the other is a badly written show about spaceships with Patrick Stewart

Different actor can step in for Stewart anytime now.

I might be in the minority here again with that opinion.
Even with great respect for actors and their work, casting isn't a big issue for me besides it being done well.

What exactly is the political statement in that gore revenge porn against a character because the original actor had different political views than the creators

Is the lesson, if you don't agree with us, it is ok to die in the most gruesome way possible?

Nothing in Picard is political commentary, but only the most pitiful display of ideology.

I dont care about politics. Blacklisting and killing a character because he said something you disagree with is disgusting though.

I am not a Star Trek fan...but..are they going back in time? Is that artwork official? I wouldn't expect cities to have highways in the future where there are teleporters and space ships.

Borg Queen sends a strong signal for Janeway to reappear.

Be good in this series too. She's dealt with some dangerous species at their worst. Vidiians. Hirogen.
