The console war is coming..... innocents will be lost....the war drums are sounding... they announce the tidal wave of bannings... and those survivors left in the wake will realize they miss the banter of the banned....like old friends...lost to the wind

Gaf doesn't really tolerate console wars, at least not as much as a place like gamefaqs.
Fanboys have to be much more subtle here and make veiled, sly remarks rather than flat out trolling.

Haha I'm gonna try and stay out of it. I want to make actual member status before I get banned. I have some very strong and ridiculously biased opinions that will remain unsaid.
Good plan....many a junior will be lost....

I'm older now and I play less than ever but I find the game industry and console wars very entertaining.
I seldom post but I enjoy neogaf a lot and some of the best threads I've read here are console wars related...
So yes, I'm ready and eagerly waiting for them.

Been following 'the wars' since the internet took off, I guess.
I think it's lovely. People who hate it, where's your imagination? Especially with the die hard fanboys, they seem like vendettas in the war, it's sooo good to see meltdowns. some of the post, you just have to read them out loud to really get a laugh out of it. And it's always at its best at NeoGAF, compared to other forums, because here there are actually pretty strict rules and interesting conversations.
As for me, I've had a soft spot for Nintendo all my life but I do own all consoles every generation and I plan to do the same upcoming gen. I get the best of all worlds. Doesn't mean I don't looove the discussions between the die hard fans.
It's already heating up here, in the threads about Call of Duty: Ghosts, the rumour about problems Microsoft has with the launch line up for the new Xbox, etcetera.
E3 is going to be a bloodbath and I cannot wait.
