WB is weird. The digital version of the trailer is unlocking overseas right now for screenings, but the US version doesn't unlock til Thursday night right before Harry Potter midnight.

It wasn't surprising to anyone who followed it, though. Dark Knight had a phenomenal marketing campaign, including a fantastic online presence which culminated in buildings being projected with Joker symbols and bat symbols and, finally, free tickets to early Dark Knight showings. I got to go to one. It was totally friggin' amazing.

The teaser was extremely effective where I stood because even though it wasn't long, it said a lot about the direction they were going with Joker. I wasn't like the people freaking out that they picked Heath Ledger - I knew the guy could act - but I wondered aloud how his interpretation would mesh with what I feel is the ideal Joker archetype. It was clear immediately from the teaser that they had struck something. I was very impressed.

But more specifically, it did what the best teasers do - it teases, in the direct sense of the word, and leaves the audience intrigued to find out more. I understand you're the exception but realize that wasn't how most people reacted

I'm still not sure how anybody is buying those pictures as proof of anybody having seen the teaser, considering out of all the snaps they could take from the teaser, its the image that looks exactly like the teaser poster just released.

Theater I work at got our digital print of HP today. It only had Sherlock directly attached to it, but I imagine the teaser will be coming on a separate trailer mix.

The digital copy would've been encrypted anyway, but I was hoping it would be attached. I think that alone would have pumped me up.
