TDKR Teaser Trailer - First images and details emerge

Here's the current description of the trailer. [Obvious spoilers ahead]

-Trailer opens with studio logos set on top of the blue flame from Dark Knight.

Start panning up some buildings, but to screen card. EVERY HERO HAS A JOURNEY.

Cuts to a shot from Begins with Bruce walking up to that Village when he’s looking for Ra’s

Screen Card: EVERY HERO HAS AN END

Ra’s voice over: If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devout yourself to be ideal. And you become something else entirely. A legend Mr. Wayne….A LEGEND!

Screen Card: THE EPIC CONCLUSION

Cut to Gordon in a hospital bed laying on his side. Looks to be in serious pain. Has A breathing mask on. Is talking to someone.

Gordon: We were in this together, then you were gone…….Now this Evil rises. The Batman…..HAS to come back.(all this is said in a very raspy voice, in much pain)

Bruce/Batman (it's not shown who he’s talking to, so don’t know in which form Bruce is visiting him in. My guess would be as Bruce Wayne) : What if he doesn’t exist anymore?

This part is the hardest to understand in the entire trailer, I listened to it at least 10 times but the score is over powering here and Gordon is having trouble talking. It sounds like if says Humor me while trying to laugh. I might be wrong here, full disclosure.

During this quick talk we’re shown a shot of the bat cycle when it drives up the ramp from Dark Knight, Gordon destroying the Bat Signal all cut in with the Hospital. As well as super fast flashes of Bane’s face.

Pan up crumbling buildings to reveal the teaser poster, the camera zooms to the white opening and on an all white screen the title appears. The score reaches a fever pitch before turning over to The chanting from the website.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Fades to black and then we see Batman backing away from something, then Bane enters from the left side of the screen. Very quick shot then the trailers done.

Damn, i'm too slow...

anyway, about 90% of the footage was from the previous films, meh...well, maybe the HD version will get me more excited.
 
Watched it without sound (at work). Gordon all bed ridden and shit.

Not much to go by, lots of old footage. Bane looks as hokey as I thought he did from that first image.
 
The end of the trailer had the chanting music that was released the same time the Bane picture was. I guess that is his theme. Nothing really revealed and I couldn't make out the dialogue (listening on low volume at work) but was it the same dialogue as the spoilers posted?

Can't wait to get home and see in better quality. Work computer sucks. Also the TDK teaser was better. The music did it for me.

AND DID I SEE "FILMED IN IMAX" AT THE END? Wish it was the whole movie in IMAX.
 
Interesting that it sounds like he's using his normal Bruce voice with Gordon.

Edit: nevermind, just saw the hand on the bottom. So he is there as Bruce

admit it, dm, for a second there you were truly happy they'd gotten rid of the dreadful batvoice!
 
Can anyone make out Batman at the end? The colors are so bad on this monitor at work all I see is a figure moving backwards and another figure (Bane?) appear.

No Cat-woman sighting. And yeah it sounds like Bruce talking in Bruce voice to Gordon.

No, the first thing I was thinking was "Does he reveal he's Batman to Gordon?"

But it's just Bruce.

But doesn't that imply
that Gordon knows? Or Bruce reveals to him that he is Batman? Why would Bruce of all people go see him in the hospital since Bruce is shown as an careless playboy? I guess Gordon finds out or they will show Gordon always knew but kept it to himself. Or that with Batman gone, Bruce works to restore the city with Gordon without being a vigilante.

I'm confused though, why would there be no Batman? Wasn't the point of the end of TDK that Batman would take the blame and be the 'bad guy' so he could be the good guy? Isn't quitting kind of being a baby about it? Kind of the opposite the point of TDK?

Wasn't Gordon the first beat cop at the scene of his parents' murder?

Knowing Nolan, he will release a trailer with no spoilers at all like the Inception one sometime down the pipeline.

I assume
that with the Joker caught and most all of the Mob bosses either dead or locked up, Bruce figured the city no longer needed Batman. And with Batman becoming a villain in the eyes of the public it was the best time to get away so he doesn't have the whole police force after him. I guess this movie starts with Bruce more in the forefront as a public figure trying to reshape Gotham since all the major criminals are behind bars. That is until Bane and Catwoman show up. And then Batman has to come back even though he will be hunted and or hated.

Nolan, or whoever cuts his trailers, actually does that pretty well. I thought the TDK trailers revealed too much and that I had too much of an idea of what the story was going in but the movie itself went in a different direction and was packed with so much content that even the parts I did know from the trailers did not spoil much of anything. Same with Inception.
