Holmes shouldn't have been in Begins. She can't get through a single sentence with out smiling.

I thought Maggie had the attitude Nolan was looking for and made it believable.

At least she is good looking. Hard to take TDK seriously because you can't believe two guys would both be in love with Maggie-Rachel.

I can't see Maggie's superior acting compared to Katie as Rachel. Katie had the looks and the acting was even. I would have preferred Katie since Rachel's death would have meant more and she is better looking.

In general terms? Yes, Maggie is a better actress. In their respective Batman films though? Maggie was no better than Katie, and maybe even a little worse.
 
I dunno...I really prefer Maggie to Katie, probably because of how damn hot and sexy she was in The Secretary.

Throughout Dark Knight, I was just waiting for the Joker to give her a spanking. :lol

Maggie is probably one of the biggest reasons why I don't love TDK so much. It's not that Holmes is a better actress, but like you said, Maggie doesn't exactly deliver a great performance here either and there was no emotion at all surrounding what happened to her. Didn't feel shit. If Katie were still in the role I probably would have, at least to a bigger degree.

I don't know. I can't stand Katie's performance in BB- she literally smiles a little crooked in every scene. Occasionally shakes her head and says something wooden.

There's a lot more to Maggie's performance than that.

The choreography is truly atrocious in these movies. I just wish it "flowed" better. Batman is supposed to finesse in his fights and have a certain sense of effortlessness. He comes off too brutish and heavy handed in these movies. Pisses me right off.

The Batman character in general is ass and needs some work. Too late now though I suppose.

Agreed, plus she's a frigid bitch in it. Broke every credability of Wayne as a playboy. Here's a multi-gazillionaire who can fuck any piece of pussy he lays his eyes on, and he's craving an ugly (both on the outside AND the inside) bitch? GTFO!
I don't like Katie Holmes as Rachel one bit, but she knocked it out the park compared to Gyllenhaal.

Looks- Maria Bello
Continuity- Rachel Weisz

But people were still furious there was no Weisz. I guess continuity really is the most important element. :D

Fuck this finesse shit, I don't want super choreographed unrealistic fights. The problem with BB wasn't the choreography or the filming, it was the editing. I think the choreographer was pretty disappointed that his fights were edited into shit.

I think in TDK, they just sort of pussy-footed because of the backlash.

Trailer was kinda meh but that last part with the weird ass chanting was fucking awesome. The dread inducing title reveal was awesome too. Fuck it, the whole thing was awesome. Fucking shit I need this now.
 
I think Gordon was the true face of gotham. Batman's hope in Dent was misguided. Dent represents the politicians. Always bragging and making promises; they ultimately can't fulfil. Destroying hope in the process.
Gordon represents the people. Gordon, IS Gotham.
If Batman safeguards Gordon, he has saved Gotham.
