Honestly. If those pictures don't show that Nolan is a Metal Gear fan, then nothing will.

also, holy bejeezus! So many dead fucking people! This shit is about to become a warzone

Wow, all the tying back in Batman Begins with the LoS is awesome. I love the whole angle of Bane being what Ra's wanted Batman to be all along. Who will be Ra's this time though?

He's dead, what do you mean? The rumor is we see a young version of him in flashbacks, and the not quite as confirmed rumor is Neeson did do (or will, can't remember) two days of shooting, also for some flash back scenes with Bane. I have the feeling none of this will actually be "spoilers". I'm sure at least the LoS will be shown in the first full trailer. I figured Ra's voice over in the teaser was a hint, and it obviously was. I bet we get full on confirmation of LoS and a hint that she's Talia in the trailer (but not flat out stated).

At this rate I expect to see a set photo soon with Joseph Gordon-Levitt strolling through the streets with makeup and purple jacket.

In my dreams.

Real Spoiler™:

I hope that Talia is written and portrayed as the complex character she should be instead of just being a straight vengeful big bad.

I wish about JGL. :(

In the comis Ra is immortal. In Nolanverse, Ra not a person, but a callsign of every LoS leader. There's always one "Ra"

Just got the call today! I am now 100% a Production Assistant on the movie! This saturday is the first day they are letting us on set, the big Heinz Field shoot. If me and the others do a solid job, they will be calling us back for other days throughout the month!

I can't wait, this is what I'm going to college for and now I get to witness it all happening!

I'll try to post as many updates as I can but I won't know exactly what I will see until I am on set.

Congrats! How did you manage to get that?

That's fanwank and never stated in the movie.

The very fact that
he has a daughter to pass his last name down to
argues against it.

Well I go to school in downtown Pittsburgh for Film and whatnot. But my one buddy who has been working on a few movies that have come through got me hooked up with the Key Production Assistant on TDKR, so after a week or two of emailing he finally called me to confirm myself on set.

Just proves the point of that when it comes to the industry of filmmaking, its all about who you know.

Ducard said it. I remember them call him Ra al'ghul at Wayne's manor.

Yes, they reveal that Ducard was actually Ras. All of that bullshit about it being a callsign for every leader of the LoS is, however, fanwank.

raphier said:
we don't know for sure it's Talia in TDKR. Thats not her official name. But Talia could be also be a callsign of female leader, while being a daughter to one of them.
That's fine as speculation, but don't pass your fanfiction off as canon.

I thought the same thing until the last time I watched Begins. Then I changed my mind. I think Liam Neeson was always the leader. Bruce responds to Ra's speaking about his immortality with "Or cheap parlor tricks to conceal your true identity, Ra's." That line clearly tells that Bruce at least believes that Ducard was actually Ra's all along.

Like I said, I thought that same thing as you before, and I think a lot of people do. But, to think that, you have to ignore what Bruce says, or believe he is wrong in assessing the situation.

EDIT: You guys should really spoiler this all.
I know it's not really a spoiler in itself, but anyone who isn't retarded will be able to piece together what the spoiler pic must be.

ah,
I gotta rewatch the movie again, it's been a long time. Hiding this for convenience :)

Eddie Murphy as the Riddler should never be hidden from the world, it should be exposed for it's magnificence.

Ducard was definitely Ra's.
Remember, "
Surely a man who goes scrambling over the rooftops of Gotham wouldn't begrudge me dual identities.

All in due time. The world doesn't turn until Nolan wills it to.

I'm convinced the reason Dent isn't going to be in this movie in some way is because Eckhart couldn't keep his fucking mouth shut last time. I knew Rachel was going to die because of his interviews.

Exactly.
Neeson was
IS
Ras, Watanabe was not Ras he was a distraction.

So many spoiler bars, I don't know the severity of them. I know of some pictures, but I don't know the BIG spoiler. I can't trust any of these unlabeled spoiler bars!

I'm with you!

Clicked on some of the Bane pictures but that is it. Didn't see any major or minor spoiler. Just black bars till December for me!

And I guess no viral marketing whatsoever? Disappointed.

i dont get how thats a big spoiler. oh well.

Marion Cotillard's role in the movie is officially (from press releases) one of unimportance, but the fact that she's walking nonchalantly with mercenaries implies that she has the role of a villain. Given the strong hints we've received about the League of Shadows, everyone is expecting her to end up playing Talia al Ghul.

Dent isn't going to be in the movie because he died. You're not giving Nolan enough credit if you think he killed off the character just to spite Eckhart. He had to die, the plot really demanded it at that point.

I didn't know he leaked the Rachel death, though. That could explain why Nolan hasn't recycled him like his other actors.

It's especially spoilery because
her role is as a board member of Wayne Enterprises, meaning that the revelation of her true identity is likely to be a twist in the plot. Like learning that Ducard was actually Ras. Furthermore, it also explains why Bane has tumblers.

We are all talking about the same thing, so don't click on any of them. For now, it's a pretty huge spoiler. I say for now, 'cause I bet at least some of it will be revealed in the real trailers. But, for now, huge spoilers.

Yeah. He didn't flat out say it was Rachel. He said his fiance and unborn child (not sure what the was about, guessing it was axed to keep from an R rating, or he's just crazy) were killed while talking about Dents motivations for turning bad. This was like right before the movie came out if I remember correctly.

I believe by this time in the Dark Knight cycle there had already been some for the Joker, so people are just assuming that means there won't be any this time (they are probably correct).

EDIT: Yeah, just looked it up. By this time there had already been the "I believe in Harvey Dent" website viral, and the comic con scavenger hunt. I won't be shocked if there is some, I just don't really see how it fits with Bane. I mean, the viral marketing from DK was all "done by the Joker".

Don't think there was anything viral about it, they just released a photo of Bane.

What about that whole "#thefirerises" thing hidden in the audio file that led to the twitter domain that people needed to follow before the image was released. It's been a while but that is how it went down right?

Well the marketing company that did all of that for TDK was not hired to do the marketing for this movie. So maybe whoever they hired is going in a different direction or the studio opted not to do something similar.

Bane's reveal was supposed to be viral but the photo leaked I think.

I live in Pittsburgh. So much stuff going on got damn.

Tumblers driving down the street.
I saw some stuff on a side street down by east liberty too.

The twist in that picture is that
the inmates are revolting for having been made to be a part of that insufferably bad ferry boat sequence in TDK

I know someone posted this earlier, but THIS, to me, is the biggest spoiler of the bunch (not joking). It's obvious the direction the plot is going here.

Can you explain what this is leading you to believe? I don't get it at all.

Oh yeah, you're right. So yeah, guess there has been some already.

In the Knightfall storyline, Bane's line of attack on Batman is to break open Arkham (in this case, Blackgate Prison) and tire Batman out by knowing he'll make himself round up all the prisoners. After that, Batman is wiped out physically and mentally. That's when Bane breaks his back. In the pic I'm referring to, you can see a ton of inmates waving guns and a broken open prison gate (ostensibly by one of Bane's Tumblers).

So with the spoiler images with the
Mercenaries
and the teaser trailer with the destroyed buildings...

Is Gotham going to get wrecked by an earthquake and end up in a No Man's Land sort of situation (I loved that arc btw), and the mercenaries/talia al ghul are brought in initially for support but eventually take control over the city?

With all the mayhem there is NO WAY that they don't introduce Nightwing, Batgirl, AND Robin. Decaprio, Ellen Paige, Guy Pierce respectively.

Don't use spoiler tags for jokes in a thread like this.

Thanks. Been forever since I read that so I had no idea what was being refered to.

I'm surprised we haven't seen shots of Hathaway or JGL yet.

Believe we have. There was a shitty video of Hathaway (nothing exciting, just filming a scene outside in normal clothes). And I thought that there were some pics of Joseph standing around with Tom Hardy, but as I type this I start to question if they were actually from Inception and my mind is playing tricks on me.

I'm in love with the return to the Batman Begins premise.
I'm so glad TDK made so much money. Now we can get a real Batman film!
