I'm always intrigued by the fact that with each new Batman movie they change or alter the outfit. I wonder if it'll be greatly different again this time, or if they'll stick with something similar. Will be fun when we start getting shots of it.

I told you Nolan would fix the Balevoice.

Plus, in space, everything is in slow motion, so he fixed the action complaint too.

TDKR MotF confirmed.
not yet, robin hasn't been confirmed yet.

Gary Oldman is perfect as Gordon so more of him in the movie can only be a good thing. Even after all these years I'm still surprised at how good of a casting call that was.

when casting news started coming out, i marked hard, to steal a wrestling term. the only one that i would cast any caveats toward at this point would be bale, and it's because of that dumb batman voice. otherwise i think the casting in these movies has been flawless top to bottom. even bale would be perfect if he'd just cut it with the stupid voice.

Co-signed. A thousand fold. I've heard plenty of gafers defend the Batman voice because they like the film. There is no defence. It sounds ridiculous.

If I was a criminal, this would make me giggle like a nervous student being screamed at by a ludicrous teacher.

Gyllenhaal was terrible casting. Otherwise, I'd agree, beezle. And for future reference, I think Hathaway is bad casting too.

I don't know who could play a good Catwoman these days. But Naomi Watts in this movie would have been great.

Not a fan of Hathaway really outside of her butt.

Granted, it's not like Gyllenhaal or Holmes had anything to work with. It doesn't excuse their acting, but the role was rather terrible. I hope Nolan gives Anne Hathaway better material, even if I'm not too keen on her playing Selina Kyle either. As a huge fan of the character though, I'm hoping for the best.

I have my issues with Bale's portrayal beyond just the voice, but yes, it'd be a great improvement. As for everyone else, my only real complaint is the whitewashing. Besides that and the female leads, the main cast has been filled with extremely talented people.

Bale really has very little to work with other than the few short scenes that expressly ask him to act like a douchy Patrick Bateman, and which he pulls off flawlessly.

Bale's Bat-voice was excellent in Batman Begins. It's just TDK where it went crazy for whatever reason.

It's a vocal chord affecting downside of the cowl design which lets him TURN HIS HEAD (gasp).
Wayne will bitch about this to Fox in the next film.

"How will it hold up against cats?"
"Tabby's or Siamese cats? Should do fine against penguins."

Was that line a not-so-subtle reference to catwoman or was it just a figure of speech? Felt like the latter to me.

Mr. Reese definitely sounded intentional, however.

Since we're back to the Batvoice thing again, I'll throw in my two cents and say if I never visited internet forums I probably would have no idea the voice was even an issue.

SCHPEEEEDING JUSHT SHOWED YOU THATS THERSHHHHHHH A WHOLE CASHUAL AUDIENSHHHHHHH, WILLING TO BELIEVE IN THE BAT VOISH!

Gordon had a full head of dark hair in Begins, and now like 2 years after those events it looks like he'll be nearly all grey in Rises.

Fucking Batman has stressed the hell out of him.

#3 all time, baby. To make that kind of money, some people had a constant stream of Batvoice up in their grill for hours on end.

Upon multiple viewings and going back to Begins, I ended up preferring his growling voice from TDK. He sounds like a rat in Begins.

I definitely think it was a not-so-subtle jab at catwoman. A sort of a secret high-five for bat fans. I don't believe that Nolan at that time knew he would cast a Selina Kyle though. As for Mr. Reese, Nolan did a shit job of giving him a name. Just call him Mr. Smith or Mr. Beauchamp or whatever the fuck. Why Reese? Such unneeded speculation. Damn you Nolan.

I didn't go out of my way. Was driving home to Queens from NJ so decided to drive by that area to catch it and there was literally nothing going on at that location. Maybe they finished at the museum and were someplace else.

did you see robin? Is robin confirmed? What did his/her costume look like? Was it a cgi costume? Were the colors right? What color was the hair of the actor/actress? Can they change it in post?

Oldman did say that he has read the script, and that “It’s a really great story, a great script — he’s outdone himself from The Dark Knight!” He also talked about the extreme measures that Christopher Nolan takes to keep the script secret. For example, the ending isn’t printed in the shooting script — you won’t find it anywhere!

Oldman told Absolute Radio:

“To get into the production office, you have to have someone meet you and there are keys and various doors that lock. The script you read in the production office, and there is no ending because [Nolan] tells you the ending so that it doesn’t leak and get out, and people spoil it on the internet.”

Can't wait for Nolan to personally come to every movie theater across the world and tell the ending to us!!!
