The first Spider-man gameloft game isn't bad. Sometimes they can make OK games.

Still, secretly I want the Dark Knight game to be a total conversion mod for Amazing Spider-man. Batman unusually uses his grapple to swing and fight a whole lot in the game, and powerful magnets let him walk in walls.

I imagine this is just a reskinned version of that game with somewhat different mechanics, given the company's inclination to reskin existing games for tie-ins (Asphalt to Fast Five, for instance).

Would have been amazing if pulled off right. More opportunity for fleshing out the universe and putting in more grounded interpretations of villains. Would have been cool

Because, quite often, games companies such as Gameloft try to pack console-quality graphics into mobile games as a selling point, which frequently results in people spending a lot of money on a game which looks pretty good but plays like shit.

The 4S and iPad 3 are capable of some pretty impressive things when put up against the 360/PS3.

Then again, the controls of these really awesome looking games are mostly utter shite, so it doesn't really matter.
