Remember them old Amiga and PC demos?

In the 90s there was this whole cool demo scene where they tried to make these small cool fast graphic demos

It is still around, they just use graphic libraries now.

Share your favorite demos.

In those good old days I was part of the demo scene, and the Cuddly demo from The Union must be the thing I watched the most on Atari ST...

An another piece of choice on Atari ST, with plenty overscan's screens (a Technical Deadline on the Wonderfull ST) :

Little known fact - The Union Demo contains copy protection on its disk.

You can only make a copy of it with its built-in copier.

I've still got that one installed! Also this one - I love the music.

Where's the best repository for this stuff these days? I haven't gone looking for new ones in a long time, there must be some amazing stuff to catch up on. I prefer to see them running natively rather than watch videos.

Yeah. I forgot the name of the most popular repository. They still make demos. Usually, with graphics libraries.

Edit: It looks like scene.org points you to where you need to go.

People still doing things like this on a standard Amiga 500

Well yeah it's an Amiga

Best computer of the 80s (and very early 90s)

The artstyle of these demos is so stunning. These people poured their hearts to make these beautiful raster illustrations and its crazy they will do this on a computer from the 80s
