The digital future, ladies and gentlemen.

This thread is nuts. I started gaming on the ZX Spectrum and half the systems I still own are a pain in the ass to set up, can't be played on modern TV (or when they do they look terrible) and you then have the issues of the old carts and tapes actually working, never mind you get once scratch on a Dreamcast disc and that's the end of it.

Digital is so much easier and convenient its untrue and if there's a digital copy it's much easier to preserve for decades to come.

If any of my games were deleted I would go pirate them.

I could understand a console player still wanting physical because of the trade in value. But games are cheap and plentiful from bundles on PC making the switch to digital simple.

What's the point of physical these days anyway when the version on the disc is either incomplete or broken in need for a patch to work properly?

I'm almost digtal only with PS5/Series X. If they ever decide to take away those games from me, no matter. I'll just set the black sails. Not paying for such a game twice.
You'll own nothing and you'll be happy amirite? :pie_eyeroll:

If Valve took away my Steam account for a non-legitimate reason I'd just go and get "LumaSteam", or whatever its called, and get all my games back that way.
