Just came back from midnight screening in Illinois! To put it simple, if you love action movies, go see it. It's the easiest decision you could make. Terry Crews was fucking bad ass, as well as Jet Li.

Anyone know how (so far) it's doing against Eat, Love, Pray?

How can they make the sequel without Kurt fucking Russel [with an eyepatch off course]?!?!?!?!
 
Just saw the midnight on this, and damn.......BADASS FLICK!!!

The Expendables is right-on for action movies: A simple plot, lots of fights, bullets, explosions, bloodshed, brutality, and violence!

Some negatives though: The first 2/3 of the film is slow, but once the last 1/3 kicks in when they reach
the country of Vilena
, all hell breaks loose and you're blood will be pumping!

Also, some characters were underused, most notably
Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, and Steve Austin
. They just needed more to do and say on -screen......too bad the script didn't call for it.

If you're in any form of a man, go see this!!!
 
I saw a midnight showing last night and it did not disappoint. The crowd in the theater broke out in applause at multiple points. Great action sequences and genuinely funny dialog.
 
Saw it, loved it. Did exactly what it said it would on the tin.

So many cool little bits of action. And that last scene was the best climax in years.

He was horrible in everything after Highlander 1 (and honestly he wasn't too great in Highlander 1, the Queen music and supporting cast carried his ass).

Just a cameo. The theater I was in got a huge laugh over Arnie's exit joke by Stallone.

So what, it's not like a role like this would require that much acting ability. Most of the cast have been in a bunch of terrible movies as well.
 
God, was that a good movie. I could have lived without the CGI blood and shaky cam, but that wasn't enough to spoil the movie for me.

Biggest surprise: Theater was 90% full at 10:00AM at 34th Street in NYC and with lots of cheering.

Remember me at Christmas! :lol

Yep, that's why wife was willing to see the movie with me (it's my day off) tonight so I could have that experience. I'm very lucky. :) I still may see it again, but honestly I got the perfect vibe this morning.

Today is my Anniversary and my wife and I are going out to a steak dinner, and then to see this. It doesn't get much better than that :D. I think she is looking forward to the movie almost as much as me. That may be partly because she thinks Jason Statham is hot, but she does enjoy a good explosion lol.

Well, she may not come after all. She has been laid out with a mega migraine all day so far. So that ticket may have to go back. Only a few guys from work are coming too.
 
oh man the film was awesome :D so much 80´s tributes...

the last 30 minutes was just explosions :D

Some great choreography, cool shooting moves, good characters, Dolph was awesome, great ending :D

The only negative comes from some crappy CGI and too much shakycam during fistfights

No. What has he contributed to the action genre ever? Maybe a comedy is due for Murphy, but not Expendables II.

I think in Empire, Stallone said he wants to get some of the direct to video people in the next one. People like Michael Dudikoff, Gary Daniels, Don Wilson. Stuff like that.

Just give me Gary Daniels and Mark Dacascos and it will be awesome.
