I couldn't be more ready for tonight, it makes me glad I live on the east coast. I read the Shawn Ryan and Walter Goggins features on AV Club and they're both worth taking a look at. It's surreal knowing that tonight brings the ending of a story I've been following for 7 years. I'll be sad to see it finish, but I have no doubt we're in for an incredible finale.

Man, it's strange, that the last episode comes on the 2 year anniversary of my Dad's death. I'm already feeling down on that, and now add in a dash of sadness over the end of The Shield, with a pinch of anticipation.

I just got off the phone with my girlfriend to tell her I'd be a couple minutes late coming home because I needed to stop by the liquor store before watching The Shield. I almost feel like it's too much to take without a stiff drink or two, and seeing that quote shows I'm obviously not alone in thinking that.

PS - AVOID Aint it Cool News. The first line in their finale preview tells you how many people live/die in the finale. It's a bit annoying that I know the number, but at least I still don't know who.

Yeah, rhino4evr, sorry to hear about the spoilers. Ain't It Cool is bad about that stuff, so thanks for taking one for the team. I have somehow managed to stay completely and utterly unspoiled and I intend to keep it that way. I will say one thing, FX has had this finale on lockdown, which I appreciate.

Probably 90 TV minutes. But perhaps it'll be a "limited commercial interruptions" show.

So, maybe 60-70 minutes.
