Not totally sold on the cast, but I love what I see.
Sometimes I feel like GAF standards are over the moon.
Agreed. I was looking for Jafar to have that menacing voice he had in the animated movie. But it’s a remake and there will be some differences especially going to love action. Overall I think it looks good though.Honestly the worst one by far is Jafar. The actor is too young and his voice and delivery don't fit the character at all
Again?I wish they got Sinbad to play the genie
I don’t see the point of doing a shot by shot recreation of the cartoon. All of these live action remakes are cash grabs.
some adults too. The lack of speed in the real world does not match the movie, making the movie more compelling, at least in my eyes.Don’t really like the look of it. This one probably would have been best left as a cartoon only. Kids will probably like it though.
Strangely I noticed that too, but in hindsight for the original scene of him being tagged and gagged and thrown into the sea to die was pretty dark for a kids movie.First off, he makes being tossed into the ocean while tied up look like fun, just look at his face.

Trivia
- Prince Anders is an original character, created for the 2019 version.
- He could also be a rename for Prince Achmed from the original movie.
I feel like a live action version of Aladdin can’t top the Robin Williams classic, but I don’t fault people for being curious to see this one. We all know why Disney is doing this one...$$$$.
There are several red flags with this Aladdin movie, but one of the biggest is the director, i.e. Guy Ritchie. This is a man who really hasn't made a good film since Snatch 19 years ago (a totally different genre, whilst to a lesser extent the first Sherlock Holmes is an 'okay' movie). The rest? It ranges from forgettable "passable stuff" to complete Total shit-tier crap. If anyone had the misfortune of watching his King Arthur Legend of the Sword in 2017, they'll know what I'm talking about.
