I like how the front man for Attack Attack is some fat kid with REALLY tight ass fucking clothes. His fat jiggles while he's being so HxC makes it hard for me to take him seriously :lol

That fat kid isn't even the screamer on the recording, he's a replacement after the real (read: good) screamer was kicked out of the band for not being Christian enough. I've been jocking these guys since they put out their first demo, but I can't say I'm excited for any new material knowing that. Austin (their original screamer/frontman) was the soul of the band, did their promotion, got them started, and did a great deal of the songwriting. The fat kid is fat and blows live. I can scream better than he can, which is pretty fucking sad.

I just realised - what is it with screamo/metalcore/emo song titles being some pop-culture/literature/random in-joke reference and it not having anything to do with the song's theme in general?

'Oooh, let's name our song about Jesus after some fucking Nickelodeon character.'

I haven't a problem with this in crabcore, mind you.

Oh god. The autotune. The stop-start downtuned riffs. The uninspired electronica use. The awful screams. The fucking stupid hair and headbanging. The only thing that should be synchronized is helicopter head banging. Like this. Not jogging or whatever shit they are trying to express their individuality through.

I can understand embracing the image on a purely ironic stand (though that is silly), but actually enjoying the music?
