It was such an immediate switch too. One second he's telling Vinny how he likes swording dudes and the next this quick look is ovar! :lol

Definitely don't watch the Harry Potter one while drinking, unless you want to get soda all over your monitor.
 
I haven't watched the NG2 quick look yet, but I'm already saddened that Brad isn't playing. He could've set a new record for deaths in a single quick look.

Maybe Ryan should stick to exclusively Quick Looking wii games. He just seems happy & jovial in the quick looks when he has the wii-mote in hand with games like Mushroom Men & Conduit & so grumpy & kinda pissed off when he's playing games like Ninja Gaiden, Gran Turismo or NFS: Shift etc...

I was thinking about getting this because I really liked Ninja Gaiden 2 on the 360 despite some its its complaints, but damn did they tone down the gore factor in this. Sure the action is solid in the game, but the ridiculous gore was part of what made the combat so satisfying in NG2 and without it my interest is down significantly. Seriously that shit just looks lame in comparison. Why did they even take out the gore? It's not like they were able to avoid a M rating by doing so, is it?

Is that the Japanese version they are playing just with English language settings or did Tecmo seriously take out all of the awesome gore in the American version?

They took out the gore because of the ratings system in Japan would have cursed it with a Z rating, which like AO here has a bunch of restrictions. Why leave out the gore for the US release? Not sure. Might have to do with PS3 being region free, or the devs only wanting to create one version of the game.

Basically they would need to completely redo it & the physics in the game for it to not look like ass after the blood splattered.
The blood stains were a completely joke in NG2.

Yeah I know why they have to tone down the gore for Japan, but that doesn't mean the other versions should suffer the same fate especially when they already have all of the assets from the 360 version. It should at least be an option. Also, even if the game is region free they can program it so the gore only shows up on non-NTSCJ consoles. I believe the first Resistance game did this and there was no blood when it was played on a Japanese console regardless of where the disc came from.

Who cares if the blood stains floated every once in a while it was the the awesome effects you got when your blows connected with enemies and dismembered them. Now all that is left is some blue mist. Besides, if it was just the blood stains that sucked, couldn't they have merely toned down the stains? There was no reason to remove all of the ridiculous blood sprays. Either way, they really should have left it in as an option. It looks like it is still an M rated game in States, so I don't really see the point in removing the gore completely. I just tried out the demo on PSN and the level of satisfaction I got from destroying enemies is much lower than the 360 version. I dunno, maybe I'm just 12, but the over-the-top gore was part of what made NG2 fun for me.
 
TANG: Far Cry It's not a quick look but I really like the TANG series of videos. This is the last episode for at least a while. Apparently Ryan has covered just about every live action video game movie ever created.

If you haven't checked these videos out I say start from the begin. He sometimes makes references to previous episodes.

Oh I missed that. That's good news. I just read the post he made on the site about the season coming to an end and I assumed this was the last episode.

they always include a pretty funny vfx sequence in there too editing him into the movie. Surprisingly well done for the little amount of time im sure they spend on the videos.
 
I was laughing in tears with that Ninja staff conversation and tha family feud quick look.

I have to say that usually the videos where Vinny is are the funniest. And overall he seems to like similar games that I do.

Vinny always cracks me up, and Dave is way underutilized. He's probably my favorite. :lol

Yea I love Dave too, I especially loved his intro on Majesty 2 with his fake russian accent. Also gold on Order of War.

Oh god, the Family Feud one was so awesome :lol :lol
