My thoughts. Kessler was quite good here, Patrick really didn't let up off some inane shit though.

Did appreciate the $40 talk. Big fan in 1997, but it's the key reason I am not buying.

I think the worst part of the SF643D QL was Patrick going on about the Story in Star Fox and how a bioweapon on the Sun doesn't make sense.
Of course it doesn't make sense! It's a series of games with talking animals flying space ships and fighting against a giant monkey face with hands who then turns into a brain!

I agree with him though that these 3D remakes should have been cheaper. I would easily buy this for £20 or £25. Would pay the full price now though if it had online multiplayer. I am literally the only person I know with a 3DS so local multi is pointless for me.

GiantBomb should hire interns that are good at producing things for GiantBomb. Kessler is great at producing things for GiantBomb. Kessler is a good hire for GiantBomb. Either way, besides some hating on him in this thread every so often, I think the majority of their own community is totally okay with the guy. The Fear Gauntlet video´s he and Steve have been doing have been quite popular, I think.

Fear Gauntlet is really well done. MAtt and Steve's best feature. i could care less for the Meta-game videos tho. that shit is insufferable.
 
I don't mind Kessler per se, but I would rather literally anyone else from the site be there instead. He is my least favorite out out the ~10 people from WM who have ever done a Quick Look. He does get annoying when he starts to copy Jeff or Ryan's "shtick."

Agreed. I like it in theory but I didn't enjoy those videos at all.

Fear Gauntlet has been great though.

We get it we don't need to here whinging about how fat and ugly and horrible he is every damn time he shows up. It's pathetic.
 
Other then Fear Gauntlet everything Kessler is in would be better if someone else did it.

His random Jeff-isms really are annoying aswell. Someone needs to tell him to stop that.


I would feel better if the interns freed the main guys up but they have been making less content then ever. Zero new features announced at the big live show was really disappointing

For the record, I find Kessler incredibly unappealing visually. He's the South Park stereotype of a World of Warcraft player manifested. I can generally deal with him as long as he's not in any video content.

(Calm down, defense force, I think he'd look just as creepy if he weighed 125 pounds too.)
 
Yeah, but I find Ryan being devoured by his chair visually unappealing, but I can get past that to hear his sweet, sweet content

he's a funny guy!

We can go in logic circles all day, but all told, I think whining about a dude you barely know or see is pretty pointless.

Good luck to you guys if he ever becomes a permanent staff member...
 
i think they are grooming Kessler and the other interns to run the site once Jeff and Ryan and Brad retire to the Bahamas with all that sweet sweet subscription money.

True, true. Kessler's good for being a guy to do those, but on the other hand, he doesn't "sell" or "critique" while he's playing much, seemingly only being a foil without dishing details on the title he's playing.
