I watched the first couple of the "Not Like This" series... I couldn't get over just how bad the game seems.

It looks a lot better than most MMO's, even for its age. Hardly any loading screens, decent anims, nice customization... yeah, shame it has to die, really.

If what you're saying is true... god help MMOs. I've only ever played WoW and that seemed like a class apart from what I saw in the vids.

WoW is a class apart, very few MMO's get that kind of budget and continued support :)

Considering that it ends today, I don't think that we've missed it yet. Most likely the guys will post some kind of update on the site in a few hours to tell us all of the important details about the MXO event.

Jeff is doing some kind of crazy freestyle karaoke right now and occasionally somebody pokes half of their head into view :lol

Craziest stream ever.

Wasn't that his Midnight Brown musics streaming? As i understand, only Vinny, Ryan and Dave are in the office right now.

I wish they would make a habit of taking some time to familiarize themselves with the games some more before they start recording. Quick Looks are potentially a great tool to learn what a game is all about before making a purchase, but when they just show the first 15 or 20 minutes of a game it's hard to really get a feel for what the game is about. The beginning of games is often boring hand-holding tutorials or an awkward struggle to get a feel for the mechanics.

I love Giant Bomb, but most of these quick looks don't represent an accurate chunk of the true game experience, which would be 300x more helpful.

That's why they're called quick looks, and not extensive reviews. They're supposed to show you what you experience in the beginning of a game.

Plus funny commentary.

I look through the manual before I play a game. :P

That said, <3 Giant Bomb.
You're one of the few. I, personally, don't anymore (since i was like, 12).
I read manuals of games on the can when I run out of magazines.

There's nothing about the term Quick Look that says "the very beginning of the game." I don't want an extensive review, I just want them to have a little more experience with the game before showing it off so the video can be more fairly representative of the game as a whole instead of it just being an excuse for snark and general indifference.

A 20 minute slice from the middle of a game with some explanations and impressions would be a lot more interesting and informative to me than watching them mucking through the tutorial stages.

I have a feeling this could be mildly sad. Imagine playing a game for that long and it being closed. I just read a book about human emotions and how death is not exclusive to just living things, how the brain will sometimes categorize the absence of an inanimate object as death.

Anyone know what the marking system means in Matrix online? They have mentioned about them being marked multiple times.

I don't think there is a marked system. People on the server know who they are, so they just find them, and gank them.

What's the book?
