The GiantBomb Quick Look Thread

I’m obviously LTTP but I’ve started watching the P4 Endurance Run for the first time a couple days ago.

I’ve just now finished watching the castle fight and I’m totally hooked on this stuff. I think I’ll end up watching 2 or 3 episodes a day. I love it. The contrast between Vinny’s timidness and Jeff’s brashness is hilarious.

The videos also emphasize how much I don’t want to play P4 in any way. I bought P3 and sold it after 3 hours of hitting X and walking around. Couldn’t deal with the slow pace. Not my bag.

buuuut, seeing other people deal with that stuff and then have funny comments about it all, well that’s just awesome :lol

I hope that they get around to a new ER around the time I end up finishing watching this one.

I'm also LTTP but I've finished P3 and finished P4 twice. Up to episode 50 now and even though I've played through it all before it's entertaining because their commentary is hilarious.
 
I got no qualms with GB running advertisements before videos, but man, those ODST spots are obnoxious and of particularly poor production quality.

Dude, easy on the spoilers. Now I won't experience the surprise of awesome Nathan on
mickey mouse
action.

Seriously though, that quick look wouldn't be half as spoilerish if Brad didn't summarize everything which had happened up to that point.
 
Any puzzle spoilers in that video? I'm cool with story spoilers but I hate reaching a puzzle, no matter how obvious or easy and knowing exactly what to do because I've seen it done already.

Exactly. I was all set to watch it, because I don't care if I see a little gameplay, but when Brad began his game recap, I had to bail. For an unreleased game like this, seems like the logical thing to do would be to just play a non-spoiler level, and not spill the beans on the rest of the game. Sheesh. -_-

I just tuned Brad out every time he started to talk about plot. Without that this wasn't very spoilery...

Nah, just mentions what they're looking for initially and who they're against, it's really mild spoilers considering the massive spoiler alert at the front of the Quick Look.

Well it does say "Spoilers: Uncharted 2 WILL be ruined" at the start...which is where I turned it off.
 
Let the video load before you play it then just skip the 20 or so seconds when Brad summarises the plot and you're good to go. You can even skip past the cut scenes for bonus points.
 
Just saw the Uncharted 2 quick look. If you get spoiled though it's your own fault considering the massive spoiler alert at the start.

Very nice game. I don't even have a PS3 but I might just buy one for that game.
 
Damn I can't wait for Uncharted 2. I liked the first one, but just like Brad I hated how the enemies were total bullet sponges. If this video is any indicator, the shooting looks a hell of a lot more fun. I will be getting this as soon as possible!
 
For some strange reason I find myself unsatisfied if brad doesn't die during a quicklook :D.

Maybe he's doing it on purpose :O.
 
I just watched the Uncharted 2 QL and the fps is all over the place. They really need to patch that up, I usually have no problems with it, but this noticeable and annoying.

Otherwise, this game looks amazingly fun.

Did you listen to the latest Bombcast? Brad played Uncharted 2 immediatly after finishing Uncharted 1. And says "DUUUUUUUUUUDE. OOOOOOOH MYYYYY GOOOOOD" /brad's deep voice. He says everything in that game is 10 times better than the first one. I was immediately sold on it. I couldn't finish the first one because the shooting was too much, and didn't feel right or fun imo.

I didn't notice any fps problems in the video, I was eating my dinner at the time though. I wouldn't judge it by a flash video though, the framerate in the video isn't what you'll see in the game anyway I imagine since I don't think flash video has anywhere near the fps an actual game does.


I still don't have a PS3 but the Uncharted quick look really makes me wish I did, the first game is one of the handful that have made me want a PS3, if anyone wants to lend me £250 to get one that'd be awesome.
