I was hoping for it, especially since the game lets you change on the fly. It wouldn't make for the best footage though if Jeff hasn't messed around with it. I played the demo a few times and still can't reliably grind unless I keep the camera in high mode on hardcore.

I'm almost the same then I remember two things:

1. The 'community'.
2. It's a console shooter - I have this innate ability to never be able to use pads for shooters after being brought up on the PC.

Then I come back down to Earth with a bump. I'd give the beta a shot if it didn't come with an ODST price tag.
 
yeah that halo video looks really good

i wonder if the changes will make it more playable for noobs, and less kangaroo laser sword orgy.

Well...

The reveal about which L4D1 survivor is dead comes in the final level of the new campaign.

Brad forgot this, somehow got the idea it was a cutscene at the beginning of the campaign (that for some reason didn't show up when he started it this time), and proceeded to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

"Well, that cutscene didn't show up for some reason, so it's _____! ______ is gone! They're dead! They died. That cutscene tells you all about it when the game starts. Wonder why it didn't happen this time."

Wow Brad is starting to piss me off with this stuff :lol Why is he lying about such a silly thing that is SO easy to check up on? And he just keeps on going with it too :lol I don't think I can continue respecting his opinions nor trust his reviews anymore :S It's not the first time he's said something completely wrong.
 
i don't think he's lying, i think he's just...

i mean have you seen that resident evil 5 dlc quick look?

i kind of like it anyway, i dont care and its kind of entertaining seeing everyone bitch about it

That's entirely understandable. Any time they play a co-op game in a quick look they should apologize in advance to everybody they are teaming with :lol

It's just the nature of what they're doing. They aren't playing any of the games in an "optimal" way.

As for the spoiler thing, well...that's Brad. If Brad is involved in a video and you don't want any spoilers, you need to stop watching that video. I don't really care about the Left 4 Dead story so I wasn't bothered, but I could tell as soon as he started stumbling around trying to explain what he was avoiding that he would let it all out before the (relatively short) QL was through.

Nope.
At the start you see one of the three survivors. (picked randomly)
then some time later you see the three remaining survivors together.
You only see Bill dead in the finale.

I don't care much about the spoiler this time since I've already bought the game & finished the dlc. It's just that now I know that he apparently has no problem lying to the viewer's face. Who knows what bullshit he has said in other QLs & reviews, you know? Trustworthyness & credibility has dropped to zero.

Edit: the spoiler is on the giant bomb frontpage as a subtitle for the QL as well.
 
is it just me or is there a bug in the gif where you can see part of the glasses around his face before they slide down?

otherwise, love that gif!

Saying that he "lied" to the viewers implies that it was done maliciously. I don't think it was, since he also did it on the Bombcast making the same argument as the rest of the guys gave him grief. Something tells me that it's just Brad being Brad and getting confused about when the reveal happens.

Though they probably should've put a spoiler warning in post.

I think he was confused about the opening because he first played it singleplayer and now multi and thus the intro was shorter. So when playing single you would get a longer intro. At least that was my understanding of the situation.

I think he got confused due to the opening always being different. Beyond sometimes it being Zoey or Francis, they each have a lot of different dialogue they can play in the opening. Some are shorter then others so Brad probably didn't know.
 
Shit... what was the name of that Japanese mech game where you play the President of the US who has to kill the vice president? It was on Xbox.

I'm pretty sure "President" is an homage to that game. :lol
