You really are. You're looking at the enhanced DOF and motion blur that comes off as "blurry" in capture card grabs, and totally ignoring the improved lighting, geometry, and draw distance.

If people don't think they make the game look better, what's the point of added tech?

the lighting may be better (based on effects and shadows over the water area) but the color palette just makes it seem uglier. also, I only notice improved geometry on a few background buildings. rocks next to the player are still the same. draw distance is a bit better but nothing that screams big update to me.

again, CD2 doesn’t look way better than the first in those screenshots (or in the QL that I saw) despite using some better tech.

heck, the removal of Arial in the HUD makes more of an improvement than all this other shit.

Chairman Meow is a bit too on the nose. I wonder if they chose not to use it for that reason.

Incredible quicklook though. Would watch again.
 
Comic Jumper looks fun, but man, I'm not feeling the writing / dialogue.

After playing the Crackdown 2 demo, I have to agree, it really feels like CD 1.5. The city looks better, but it all felt exactly like i was just playing the first one again. Bah.

That was the most entertaining Quick Look ever. You know. Aside from those parts where Dave was playing a game. Those parts were kind of lame.


Basically I just want a recording of Dave and Vinny talking to each other.

Reminds me of Brad and Jeff on the last Game Room vid, talking about Mortal Kombat for 10 minutes. That was fantastic.

This is why the grinding episodes were always my favorite episodes of the P4 Endurance Run. They may not have had the most memorable comedy moments, but listening to Jeff and Vinny talk about their weekends, random games they've been playing, and other things was always great. They're funny guys and fun to listen to, which is why the site is so awesome.

That was just the place in LA they rented for a week for E3 instead of getting a bunch of hotel rooms.

No no, I meant more like months/years back :) I was under the impression that this current place was at least the second place they've been in since GB was founded.
