You should have been there when they played Black Ops and switched to PC. Console fanbots raging at their best.

The chat is decent before and after the show. It's when the show starts that all the angry little kids start logging in.
 
Now i'm torn. The user experience in GT5 (menu layout, navigation, loading) doesn't seem good at all, and I don't have the space needed to do the full install. My fault since I was planning on upgrading the damn hard drive months ago. Damn it.

Kind of feels like they went into it half-assed. Should know by now if a PS3 game tells you to install you better install that mofo and didn't even know if there was damage in the game or not or how to turn it on.
 
I read in a different thread that mechanical damage actually had to be unlocked first and not available right away? Is that true?

To be fair I didn't think the loading times were all that egregious. Loading tracks took quite a while, sure, but stuff like the car list and whatever else didn't seem that much slower than what I remember Forza being.

The worst part was the fucking "THE DATE IS WRONG" message often making the game hang for several minutes, and that's not related to install times or anything.

That's what I wondered when I got LittleBigPlant at launch. :lol This wouldn't be the first PS3 game that would get messed up by trying to connect to a server even while playing single player. Of course they fixed this eventually.

As someone who lives totally in the wrong time zone for live shows on week nights, is the GT5 QL available anywhere after the fact? I'm gonna cry if it's gone for good.
 
Jeff said on Twitter that the raw footage for GT 5 was in excess of 100GB (giant bombs) so will take longer than normal to process. Coupled with Thanksgiving, it might not be until next week until it's on the site proper.

I don't like to be a downer , but here are few things of what I didn't like in this long ass 40 mins QL.

-long cutsences , 7 mins before the first time they give Ryan the control , then 1 min of gameplay and then another cutsence..too much of the same later.
-the "core gameplay" fighting and painting is kinda like Mario Sunshine and it's boring.
-jumping/platforming , well that was bad(maybe because the camera or Ryan, dunno).
-2d platforming part look super "kid-level" easy( but it's the first one )
-bland, generic empty levels.

if the rest of the game is better that what was in the QL, then this is just really bad first intro levels to the game.

I did the full install while i was out of the house yesterday. it's ridiculous to expect people to wait 50 minutes for an install before playing a console game but the loads are damn long if you don't do it.

There's something about Blu ray and load times that has really messed up a few devs this gen.

it also needs to constantly install any new courses or cars you unlocked. seems to be one time thing for each new course etc but it makes me wonder what i installed already.

why Jeff hate to refill his health? and Alex was interested in the naked lady photo more than the actuall game.

anyway , this is the the definition of repetitive gameplay ,Namco really failed completely this fall imo( Enslaved , Majin , Naruto and this) I think they need to make more Tales and Soul/Tekken stuff and less of this below average stuff.

Oh wow, so what actually runs off the disc when you have everything unlocked, the music? They probably filled the whole damn disc with assets, so the drive speed is fucking them left and right. :lol
 
I liked Epic Mickey's cutscenes but damn the rest of it looked pretty boring. I think I'll hold off on it till it gets a bit cheaper.
