im not saying i agree with Brad but i understand the points hes trying to make. The game has low production quailty so the voice acting and the graphics arent that good. And it really does look like something from ICO, theres just no way around it. As for the whole " I thought stealth was done with" i was acutally thinking the same thing. Because stealth isnt something you can just through into your game that primairy has action ( read button mashing ).
 
OT but i'm surprised majin is 1.8GB installed.

as for the game itself, it's pretty damn boring. the puzzles aren't hard, they're tedious. and there isn't much reason to be stealthy when you can easily just run around your enemies.

As a reviewer, he has made cohesive arguments and backed them up with evidence. Since your views are controversial the onus is on you to do the same and provide proof, not the other people in the thread.

Also, he is somehow good at Starcraft II, making him a gaming savant, at least.

Don't be a retard. Look up his reviews. He's 10x the writer you are. For instance, he'd never start a sentence with "K".
He adds a lot to GB. Look up what he does on the site, he has a profile which features his edits to stuff.
He acts on and off camera and thus entertains. When they move around to film stuff, he carries shit, interviews, does research, whatever.

Are you really that daft?
 
Pretty sure Brad is one of the smartest ones on the Bomb squad, at least that's how he comes off to me. Also Brad is secretly the best at games. He initially sucks at them when he first plays it but when he puts time into it he's pretty damn good. Isn't he diamond league or something high ranked like that in Starcraft 2?

not that im hating on brad (i like him) but diamond league =/= good player

really anyone can get into diamond league, it's a joke if anything

i'm terrible at SC2 and i'm in diamond league ranked 6 in my league out a however many there are (see hundreds if not thousands) of diamond leagues in sc2

There is a wide skill gap in Diamond, but it's still the top 5-10% of the people playing the game.

He's the best writer on GB, in my opinion. I think he has a bachelors in English, so that would make sense.

When you play any game for the length of time that Brad has likely played Starcraft, I would hope you'd be good at the game.

Even if he isn't great at games (the Quick Looks at least) I don't see how it makes him retarded or really an issue at all. This is not coming from someone who sees a kindred spirit or something either.
 
What a shocker, really. Hardly a whisper of outrage against the GT5 review and all the backlash suddenly appears from the quick looks! If Brad yawned at my favourite obscure wRPG I wouldn't give a care in the slightest.

Yeah I was pretty muh on Vinny's sied the whole time. I thought the game looked intrigueing especially for a budget price. I really didn't get what Brad was so bummed about, not enough AAA production value?

He complained in his Dead Nation review (a zombie game, mind you) that the environments weren't "well lit."

Also he should have wrote "well-lit" with the hyphen...I guess he needs go back to college.
