The GiantBomb Quick Look Thread

I like how Missions 3 and 4 already look much too hard for me. I'm so bad at fighting games. I'll just play with my equally inept friends, as usual. >_>

Just tuned in. Maybe its these characters/map or its just the feed or whatever but the art style in this game looks horrible. First time seeing it.

Finally someone who agrees with me. It looks like fucking shit. Especially the characters.

They do look pretty ugly. That and the uninteresting rooster have turned me off the game. I was HYPED when it was announced and while I'm sure it will be a good game, I just have no real desire to pick it right away.

I bought a fightpad for the game just before but the quick look has kinda turned me off. I guess I can hold onto it until MK9. :(

Is Alex pretty much officially part of Giant Bomb now? He's in like every quicklook now it seems.

If Giant Bomb had 5 members (when it started), he'd definitely be the 5th, and if it had 6, Rich Gallup would probably be the 6th.

Giant Bomb is a six man team, Dave and Drew.

Correction. If they were a 7 man team, Alex would definitely be the 5th.

Don't know why people are so touchy about this. Alex Navarro is appearing mostly on Quick Looks of games hes familiar with and/or reviewed their previous entries on GameSpot.

Gal*Gun quick look? Yes please :lol
There is no way Jeff would buy Gal Gun and not give it the quick look treatment, the humour potential is too great. Hopefully they'll lock Alex in a cupboard for the day or something, Gal Gun deserves nothing less than the full Jeff, Vinny and Ryan combo.

Oh ok, well I'm still feeling a lack of Dave
We all are.

I just don't like him. I'm sure he's cool in real life or whatever, but every time he's on the Bombcast I find him really annoying and unfunny.

I'm in the Brad boat.

I think just watching people play MvC3 is infinitely more enjoyable than actually playing in it any serious manner.
Likewise, but I found this to be the case with Street Fighter IV as well.

Nah, once you actually learn to play it's really fun, and it's not that hard to learn too. It only has 3 main attack buttons, a launcher button and 2 assist buttons, so it's one of those easy to learn hard to master games. The combat system just flows really well, I love it.

Funny Brad says MvC3 is exhausting when he's a big Starcraft player. If any game makes someone tired it's that one.

I'm always surprised to see people that dislike MvC3's art direction. It has such a rich color palate, and they really nailed the comic book feel in both the matches and the general interface. Just about every hyper combo is a visual delight as well.

I don't think some of the character designs are all that great. Hulk for example looks really weird.
