No one loves Vinny more than me, but his "Lets make a Call of MMOCraft... you know what I'm saying combine these two properties" Bobby Kotick joke from the time they accidentally predicted the IW firings falls flat.
My love for Vinny has made my memory more selective than I had thought. I don't recall that joke at all.

I did too until I did a bombcast youtube video binge last weekend.
The worst part about it is theres something in that line, but hes kind of fumbles with the delivery and loses it

Great. They're doing a Dynasty Warriors quick look. Previewing a game just to bash it
I don't know anything about that game, but the Darkest of Days Quick Look remains one of the best of all time.

And not many other games are coming out.

They hated on Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 pretty hard but just seeing them play it was enough to convince me to purchase it.

And Patrick is great, but during the Journey quick look he said: "What if you had a great experience with a twelve year old?"

Whoops.

Okay, I take it back.

Brad literally mashed X for that whole quick look. Forget the boost dash; he didn't even use charge attacks. That was some lazy shit.

Did not watch this QL, now I know I know why.

I really really like Patrick. Gaf never cease to amaze me. He knows a lot and gives some insighful comments. I have to say, I have learned more about gaming when he talks.

Screw you lot.

Plus he's a great writer, breaks big stuff and puts up some of the most interesting stuff on GiantBomb. He has really given the site an editorial voice lately, and he really should be applauded for that some more.

So like how does one go about piloting a gundam?
I mean it seems kinda complicated, having to individually control each limb and make really fine movements.

Also how do they fire the guns? Do they have to manually move the gundams finger to pull the trigger? Do gundams have control over all the fingers and thumbs? Same with those light sabers, do they have to push a button on the giant saber to turn it on? Having to control wrist and elbow movements to properly giant robot sword fight must be a pain.

Anyway game looks alright I guess, not really my thing.

Did he die?

Jeff even threw out the supposition that since Brad was dying so much, maybe this game is more involved than other *Warriors games, and might even be awesome.

Otherwise I kind of wish they'd do more QLs of anime series they know nothing about, especially in genres/subgenres they don't really know. I love their befuddlement.

XXY. XXXY. They are the most basic combos of all time. Cmon Brad.

At least he eventually managed to accidentally unlock more story missions by going to the Terminal.

Would have it mattered if Brad played it well?

Well the most unique part of all the different mechs is that they each have a set of special attacks. Some of which are pretty cool. If he'd press Y occasionally after hitting X he would've gotten to actually see them.

And you can do other stuff like chaining boost attacks and whatnot.

But nope, let's just mash on X all day because duurrrr it's a Dynasty Warriors game.

Every time I see a DW game I always wish they had more DotA mechanics to them. Having a bunch of AI minions fighting other AI minions tug-of-war style as you take strongholds and topple defenses and stuff. Keep the third person combo-fest but make the AI enemies and allies more important. It seems like it would work to me.

What you want is the severely underrated Guilty Gear 2.

Did they copy/paste snarky comments from the last DW QL?
No. Re-watching that, Jeff is funny and not taking the game seriously at all.

In the DW3 QL Jeff sounds really jaded, right fully so, sure, but when he mocked the dialogue by repeating it like a child, I fucking cringed.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Other publications either mock Koei for making the same shit over and over again and publications that give them serious coverage do so because of the disgusting amount of fans.

What makes the Dynasty Warriors games good in the first place? I've played demos of them and they never really seemed very appealing.
Dynasty Warriors fans likes Dynasty Warriors games. They keep buying the newer versions because of added weapons, cutscenes etc. Recent game even added Jin, a complete new cast.

So they didn't know how to fight mobile armors despite the game telling them how during the loading screen, never used emergency dash or the Y button to string combos or evade, and charged into the enemy HQ while the HQ's defense cannons were still up because they didn't bring down the battle gauge as was explained in the mandatory tutorial mission that they either had someone else play or they skipped over all the text.

Oh well.
