The GiantBomb Quick Look Thread

Not that horrible for a movie tie in. The graphics looks kind of shitty, but the combat seems pretty smooth. I liked Wolverine, but even that got repetitive as hell pretty early on.

well at least it's only $50.

It has a popular license and the combat doesn't look half bad, even if it's shallow. It'll sell.

I actually felt the usual 'forced humor' complaints re: Kessler were relatively subdued in this video. Jeff and Matt kept pretty focused on the game and it made for a relatively engaging quick look. Well, a quick look for a forgettable videogame tied to a probably forgettable summer movie.
 
To tell you the truth Kessler seemed way better in this QL than the EDF one. I think that might have something to do with not having Ryan berating him while talking about the game.

I want to subscribe but I barely have time to get thru all their Quick Looks every week so it's just not worth it to to me... maybe when they start offering another really cool t-shirt.
Or a members-only Endurance Run.
 
Kessler was pretty decent. It's probably because Jeff works with him instead of against him.

I don't think I've seen a more washed out game. Some games have a muted color palette as part of the art style. That game is just washed the fuck out.
 
didnt visit this thread till now but I was on GB homepage.

clicked play on the Captain America QL and the second jeff said "hi kessler" i closed the page.

Kessler was fine in this QL, I thought. He's no Patrick, anyway...

The colors in that game look really muted and ugly, or something. Combat looked pretty fun, but eh.

And I'm getting seriously tired with every Kessler video resulting in 2+ pages of people moaning. Don't fucking watch if you don't like him and please don't feel the need to tell everyone you did so.
 
I don't like kessler much, but I hate the reaction to him so much more that I hope he gets into as many bombcasts/quicklooks/tnts/happy hours as possible to make those whiney fools cry even more.

Yeah, I totally agree. This was as enjoyable and informative as your average QL.
Ryan's forced mockery on the other hand gets old really fast.

And I also don't hate what I've seen from the game. Looks like something I would buy when it drops below 15GBP.

At least they try. Brad doesn't bring the funny, insight, or anything else other than terrible taste/opinions (L.A. = amazing game, "Bayonetta's gameplay is competent but people play it for the crazy"), an occasionally pretentious vocabulary, and a penchant to blame the game he's playing for every mistake he makes despite the fact he's shit at most games being well documented.

I don't hate any of them. Kessler was annoying at the start but has gotten much better. He does good reviews and his QL skills are improving every video. It's just the people who watch these videos that are incredibly whiny and bitchy about everything. Kessler is the inexperienced one but is expected to be as good as people in the job for 10 year.

LA is an amazing game. I like Brad but I feel like he has a kill-joy attitude sometimes. Other than that, he's fine.
